I bought this on a whim a few years ago and have been straightening my hair almost weekly since. It’s a GAME CHANGER. With a normal straightener it would take me hours to carefully straighten my whole head, but with this product I get it done in 30 minutes!! Other high-end flat irons take forever and by morning it’s back to frumpy. I was leery of the protector mist but I took a chance and so happy I did. I have a health condition which affects my nerves, muscles and joints and every time I wash my hair it is really heavy and causes me pain, and I have to straighten it for it to be less painful. I also can’t wear products such as curl cream or mousse as that causes me headaches. Straightening is my only option. I would usually use straighteners and a comb as I went through but it would take me so long because it’s the length of my armpits. I have been using my straighteners on 230°c for about 15 years so I didn’t think these would work very well at 210°c. I was wrong! I finally got my brush yesterday (7/10/24) after 2 weeks, thanks to USPS and having to reach out to Tymo because USPS lost my initial order. So to say I was even more skeptical was an understatement. On wash day, I blowed dried my dripping wet, heat protected hair 4C hair, then got to straightening. I took it slow by choice at 330°, and over-applied an oil-based heat protectant. The buttons are in a place where I accidentally hit them multiple times, so it went up to 350° at some point. Also, the auto-off happens too quickly, probably 30-45 mins. I wrapped my hair and slept, and bumped the ends the next morning with my flat iron (I haven’t mastered it with this device), but as soon as I walked outside at 8am, the Texas heat and humidity caused it to poof. My hair looked silkier, and it still felt just as soft, but it was more flowy than before. It only took about 30 mins to do my whole head.I also straightened my biracial nieces wavy (not at all curly) hair on 310°. I don’t have pics. With the oil-based heat protectant, her hair looked silky and polished, but kinda wet. I switched to Cantu for the other half of her head, and it was straight, but not as silky. I very, very lightly applied some of the oil-based heat protectant to the top quadrant of her head and finished up. A couple hours later, the oil-based half of her hair was still silky and straight, while the mixed half had fly aways, and was not as straight at the ends. It didn’t look like she had her hair straightened with heat, it looked more like naturally straight hair.Hopefully, the pics display in order. 1) Twist out in a gray tee. 2) blow dried to stretch in pink top, 3) video of final 330/350°, 4) 10 mins outside in the hot, wet, Texas heat, 5) at 410°.

I have very frizzy 3c hair. So, this thing kept showing up on my facebook feed. For months I debated buying it. Late one night , last week, I said frack it, I will buy, worse case I am out $60 if it doesn't work. I was shock! It did work! Now, I only tried it once, I hope the second time around it doesn't disappoint me. MoreSo, this thing kept showing up on my facebook feed. For months I debated buying it. Late one night , last week, I said frack it, I will buy, worse case I am out $60 if it doesn't work. I was shock! It did work! Now, I only tried it once, I hope the second time around it doesn't disappoint me. No pictures to post, but if in the future I can edit my review, I will add a before and after.--one last thing, the power button is a problem, it should be someplace else, because you will be turning it off while doing your hair.--but overall a great product.
