I've used other brands before, and the U By Kotex Thinx Reusable Period Undies were the best priced in comparison to the others. These undies are comfortable, provided a leak free experience and were easy to wash and reuse. I will buy these again, when the current ones run out. Given it 4 stars as the cotton material, although comfortable, didn't feel premium. Perhaps, bamboo/ viscose might be considered in the future. For someone trying reusable period undies for the first time, these are a great, non-pricey option to consider. There is no looking back once you've tried these.

When I first saw the undies I was worried about how big and bulky they were. When I tried them on they were very comfortable and seemed well made. However, because of the bulk of the undies I couldn't wear them under tight fitting pants because they stuck out. I am usually a size 8 - 10 and ordered the 10 because I thought the smaller size of combined 6/8 would be too small, I should have gone for the smaller size. The absorption of the undies was good and they still felt comfortable after wearing them all day. They washed well and as with all period undies, take a little longer to dry.Overall they're a decent pair of period undies, but I prefer ones that have less bulk

THINX reusable period undies are an amazing alternative to typical period products, like pads, tampons and menstrual cups.Odour - I would say that these undies do a pretty good job, however around the 10-12 hour mark I can smell the build up of period blood. I don't think its noticeable to other people, but definitely noticeable when using the bathroom.Strength - I believe they probably are true to claim, and are similar to 2-3 tampons/pads.Comfort - they are thicker than your conventional underwear, so definitely don't feel like normal underwear, and it's not as stretchy as my normal bikini style underwear. So definitely feels different, but much more comfortable than a pad, but not as weightless as a tampon. This was an experience! I have tried other reusable period undies, and had loved the idea of them. However I find with U by Kotex the sizing runs a little small, especially if you have a big bum and a bit of a belly. I would definitely size up or try a full brief cut instead of bikini. These were easy to clean, some may find the idea of rinsing and ringing out your underwear of blood before washing them gross, but its really the best way to get them clean and ready for next use.I can see the benefit behind this product, its cheaper than buying pads, and you don't have to change them as often as you would a pad, and there is no awkward adjusting like you would wearing a pad, however the technology works just like a pad, so sometimes you don't feel clean and fresh, ... MoreThis was an experience! I would definitely buy this product again, perhaps in a different size or cut!
I bought the super absorbant brief as they were the heaviest flow in the market recently. The first time they worked fine, however after that they leaked and leaked. Each time the absorbancy got worse until today it leaked within 2 hours of putting them on. I don't know how many wears you're supposed to get out of them but at $25 a pop 3 wears is terrible. I don't think i can wear them after today given they leaked so quickly. Similar to the other reviews, there seems to be a defect with the seam in the crotch area as that's where the leak begins. Do not waste your money!! Libra ones are much better!!
U BY KOTEX THINX Reusable Period Undies do what they say and what I expected. I have worn other brand reusable period underwear before and the U BY KOTEX THINX is just as comparable. The one I received is for regular flow (which I recommend for light to medium flow), so I would wear during the day but not for overnight. On my lightest day I can easily wear the underwear all day and still feel fresh and dry. On a medium day I would tend to swap to another underwear after 4hours as it was starting to feel 'heavy and wet'. I never leaked and there was no odour even when I felt like I needed to change. The underwear was also really easy to clean, I would just do a rinse in the sink or shower until the water ran clear before throwing it into the wash. I think the idea is good, since it helps reduce waste and can be reused. It was interesting to test out since I never really thought about getting them. I do enjoy that they are really convenient compared to pads. The one I got was high waisted, bikini cut but it didn’t quite feel like it. The waist band of the underwear sat on me funny, and cut into my waist even though it was the right size for me (6-8). The height of where the waist band sat wasn’t quite right either. I also think that considering the fact that you need to wash them after every use, the packs should include at least 2 pairs of underwear, and not just one. But otherwise, the underwear felt really secure, which I appreciated since I’m used to wearing pads and was worried about leakage. I have been using reusable period underwear for at least a decade. I started using them after having two children. Tampons were no longer an option and overnight pads for days was just plain uncomfortable! I have been using ModiBodi since the beginning and recently starting adding Bonds also and these U by Kortex undies are in serious competition with them!Super comfy, looks like quality to last at least a year cycle and at $17 you can afford to replace if they get a little worn after the year, whereas when you pay around $40 with the bigger brands you like them to last a bit longer. The only down, and a minimal down, the sizing is a little small. I am on the lower side of a large, I ordered a large and they were a little tight around my handle type ... MoreI have been using reusable period underwear for at least a decade. Also, without any troubles to make anyone none the wiser.
Well well well, more over Modi bodi, the new period undie Queen is here!!These are bomb! Between my daughter and I, I reckon we’ve tried every period pantie on the market. These knock all the others straight into the waste bin. Comfy as, absorbent, leak proof, and did I mention comfy?? Now to the gross bit….these wick away the smell the best out of all undies we’ve tried. Eco, Love Luna, Modi Bodi, some untagged unbranded pair we bought on EBay (these come in second by the way,l!) U blow them all out of the water. So happy, will be purchasing a bunch for my tween for peace of mind as we know her ladies aren’t far away.Thank you for putting comfort above all. And then actually having that same product actually work?! What?!!! Amazing! 10 outta 10!Much love x
I’ve been wanting a pair of these for ages but always been uncertain about their effectiveness and didn’t want to buy one. But I got a pair for free as part of a uni student orientation thing and was stoked to try them. The sizes that they gave out were limited so I would’ve ideally got a size up but the ones I have still fit well.Have worn them several times during the day where it felt really secure and that I wasn’t going to leak. At night, when my period is at its heaviest, I usually have to sleep with a towel but didn’t need to do that when I had these on.They do feel a little bit bulky to wear and can be strange to not change them every few hours for that freshness factor but ultimately worth it as they’re so much easier (both mentally and physically) ... MoreI’ve been wanting a pair of these for ages but always been uncertain about their effectiveness and didn’t want to buy one.
