It works for its purpose really nicely. I have found the pen slot to be quite helpful even though I have the keyboard that holds the pen. The rubber strap feels nice on my fingers and I feel like I cab trust it not to fall out of my hand. One downside is at the divot to open the kickstand is on the left side. I feel like it would be nicer yo have it on the right or even both sides but I have gotten used to it.

From product point of view, everything is fine. Case fits perfectly and is of good quality.But the purchase and shipping process needs improvement. During purchase process VAT is collected. Shipments to Europe are processed from Hong Kong. But in my case, the shipment was declared as a gift. Therefore, European customs requests payment of VAT again. When conacting customer support requesting UAG's IOSS which would clear the customs, support answered that they do no have rhis number. So I wonder how it works when they collect VAT during purchase process but don't have an IOSS number. Fortunately, UAG refunded the VAT. But still, it required additional effort on customer side. This should be improved on UAG side.

Really nice case for the price. Protects the device, fits wiithout being so tight it is not easy to remove, and lets the existing kickstand function without limits. The pen holder is really tight, and if there is a pen in the pen holder it blocks the heat vents and the device can get pretty warm.The handstrap is more useful than I expected.
I bought this case to use with my new Surface Pro 9. The case fits well. My keyboard has a holder/charger for the slim surface pen so I don’t use the case pen holder a lot. I haven't dropped my Surface yet, so I have no comment on the case protection in a fall. Overall happy with the purchase.

I've only had it for a few weeks and I haven't "drop tested" it (thankfully) but it seems durable and that it would protect my new Surface Pro. It's easy to pop on and not cumbersome to leave on, AND it's not heavy. I carry mine for field work and like to have the extra protection just incase. The keyboard attaches seamlessly... oh and the hand strap can be helpful, and the pen holder on top is an added bonus - clips in there and is secure. The power cord can be attached perfectly. The kickstand works with it on as well. No problems - everything aligns to function properly.
Same review as MichaelD. Owned less than 2 months, dropped from less than waist high and the screen shattered in the top, most protected corner. Waste of money.
I was not sure it was going to protect the laptop the way I invisioned, but now that I have traveled with it on a plane no doubt. I even forgot about the hand strap and had to use it and it really does work. Fits comfortable on the laptop and the leg is a natural. I was able to adjust to the angle needed. Very pleased!
Absolutely do not buy this case. I owned my surface pro 9 for 2 days and dropped it from 1 foot with this case one and the corner of the screen shattered. It landed on the top edge where this case is most protective too. The bottome portion of this case is also extremely flimsy.
