Works exactly as it should as a POE power supply, hand power LED status that tells you wether it is on or not.
Nice enough, but we managed to kill two TPLink EAP225 Outdoor access point units when a staffmember unwittingly connected them for configuration.Most information online leads one to believe there is broad PoE compatibility, or at least that damage shouldn't occur (ideally, your device just wont power. Right?).We seem to have struck one of the corner-cases.Where the TP-Link product and the UB are theoretically standards compliant, but this product didn't negotiate; and the TP (although rated to 57VDC, 802.3af) wasn't ready for 48V and failed.
Easy application for the initial single WAP I had for my home setup. Instead of going all out of POE+ or POE++ I could just add this injector to get POE+. Simple to setup, plugin and get going. Was nicely packaged in static free bag and in new working order. If you're getting started and a feel for the Ubiquiti range - a definite buy over need to immediately drop $$$$ for those POE+ Dream Machines or Switches.
Purchased this product with the unify dream machine pro and couldn’t be happier with the performance and reliability. I won’t go back to mass consumer brands.
