UGREEN 30205 USB Type C Extension Cable 1m

I purchased a Chromecast 2020 and got a USB-C hub/docking station so I could add more storage for applications. A month later, I ended up also getting a larger TV and this raised the hub to the point where it was dangling off the streaming device. I didn't want to cause any damage to the connection of the hub to the Chromecast, so I got this extension cable. The hub sits flat on the TV stand and works with no issues or slowdown in speed.

I needed a USB-C extender to compensate for the ridiculously short cable on the USB-C hub I use to connect my mobile devices to my Elgato HD 60S+ to stream mobile games to Twitch and Trovo. I've used this sucessfully on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and my Apple iPad Pro 11 2021. I bought the 1.5ft pair but in hindsight I would be happier with the 3ft ones. One star off for the high cost and the inevitable fail that I predict will happen next year or the year after like all cables these days.

This was the perfect length that I needed. Any longer and it would be a cluttered desk. Feels sturdy and works great.

The thickness of the cable makes it a little stiff for the 1.5 foot length. Not what I expected. Other than that it works fine.

Does the job! Slick looking too.

I love this extent. It is sturdy. I still get the fast charging capability. I'm completely satisfied

It's a USB-C cable, so let's just jump into the PROS and CONS.PROS:- well made- seems sturdy- handles 100w without issue or hearing up, excellent.CONS:- Its not symmetrical. USB-C is great in part due to the symmetrical connector, insert it either way and it works, right? That's the idea, but this cable is not symmetrical. It works only one way - and the other way transfers power only. Another review mentioned this too, but I think he thought it was just not working with Apple products. I was trying to figure out why something didn't work, worked with every cable I tried except this one. What!? Then I reversed the plug, presto, it works. Ummm... Perhaps they didn't get the memo that USB-C is supposed to be symmetrical, because this isn't. It's too late to return for me, but at least I found a way to make it work for me.That's it, the only con I ran into but it's a big one. If you're having issues, try reversing the connector, I know, that's ridiculous to have to do with USB-C, I agree. But in this case, it works for me with this cable? I might have gotten a rare one that was made incorrectly, it's possible. But other reviews mentioned seeing similar issues so perhaps mine isn't unique. I don't know.

Great for extending usb hub with short cable

Works great for charging-does not work for docking

This worked great to use with my Dell docking station to charge my laptop. I was looking for something that would lengthen the cord and also allow me to utilize my docking station with my laptop, however this only charges the computer.
