Does work as it should. Can view trail camera photos with out leaving the woods. Can clear a card to. Just have to hold it steady. Can't swing it around or it looses connection and you have to view over. Gets the job done though. I can't complain for how much I paid and how much I use it.I'd buy it again.

As I've said with Ugreens other products, they are much better quality than a lot of brands on Amazon. I use this for transferring stuff off of SD cards to my phone and it works flawless. Has a nice heavy duty quality to it as well. Had it for a few years and I dont think it's going to break anytime soon.

The Amazon page advertises this as a USB 3.1 device. But, when I connect it to the USB-C port on my Motorola phone, it shows it as an attached USB 3.0 device. Additionally, in the little folded paper 'manual' that comes with it, the "Specifications" page lists "Input: USB-C 3.0 M", so there it is. (In fact, that's what it also says on the back of the box.) All that said, I attached it to both my phone and a Chromebook (both with USB-C sockets), and the device seems to work. With an older microSD (4) card, it's kind of slow getting things loaded. But with a newer U3, V30 microSD, it seems much faster. So, makes me wonder if people who report it being very slow are using older microSD or SD cards? I have a shell case on my laptop that can/has prevented me from using other adapters, but this one is perfect. I’ve used it many times and it performs great.I only wish it’d come with some sort of storage container for when I’m on the go, but a great little memory card reader.
I found out that using the large SD card slot does not work properly. The card shows up, then immediately disappears. Using the micro SD slot, I can see it and safely copy files to the card.
Purchased this for easy viewing of my DSLR photos on my Samsung s21 Ultra smartphone. Phone recognizes the device instantly and makes it very easy and convenient to view any of my Canon DSLR photos on the go.
I have this plugged in to an iMac to load music files onto a mini ssd card. It does the job just fine. But it gets very warm in use. And, it is warm just sitting empty. Not sure why. So, four stars instead of five.
Just take note this particular item will only plug into one type of plug on a laptop. You can’t use it with any other device with any other type plug without some type of adapter. I was under the impression that it would plug in my iPhone but that’s on me should have done my homework better but otherwise it’s pretty efficient to use
