In Ultimate Werewolf Legacy, players and the village itself have attributes that are retained between games, with ramifications of every decision rippling through future games. In UW Legacy everyone is assigned a family, spouse ect. We played the whole campaign on consecutive nights on a trip with a bunch of friends. So the new bonds that formed inside those UW familues really started to grow, with hilarious results. That is the big difference of this game. The allocation of who is a werewolf and who is not is random in each game, but you end up protecting your own: ”my dear husband has done nothing!”. This brings a new level to the social experiment/ence that is Werewolf.

The game is presented well, I love that the narrator can tell a full on story and that the game is friendly for new players as well as old fans. It integrates changes really well and the players can make decisions that affect the next game which is my favourite aspect.The only negative I had is that you need to buy refills to play again.

Really good quality game
Anyone who loves One Night or One Week Ultimate Werewolf will love the Legacy version. It has more complex game play that builds as you play through each chapter, with a moderator leading you through each round. The game has 5 chapters with 3 rounds in each + prologue. Each chapter took us about 2-3 hours to play through. While you can buy repacks, with the number of choices you make through gameplay, you could honestly probably replay it through another couple of times without needing to buy a repack. The game stays true enough to its original game plays, but with enough variation and surprises that you won't be bored. The Diary which contains the information for moderators and where you track your team's progress is excellent quality and a joy to play from.
Very entertaining and the flow of the chapters is compelling! As the moderator, I’m really excited to see what happens next even though I already know the possible events that could take place. The only downside is finding a consistent group of 9+ players.
I can't review much since going into details would spoil the surprise so I'm keeping it as vague as I can.We haven't completed the campaign but I can tell you that the group was amused, entertained, and also shocked with some of the changes in the gameplay. Once some elements were introduced, there was a sudden shift in the group - accompanied by sudden intakes of breath and one very wide grin from one player who was the focus of the action, she was almost giddy with the actions that she had.I'm looking forward to seeing where the campaign goes and what is the final story from our fledgling village.On a mechanical view, it's similar to the werewolf and if you're familiar with the gameplay, it's not too different.
