I ordered 3 different thicknesses of nib - this review covers them all. It's sold as a drawing pen, but I've been using them mainly for figure work and writing. It gives a smooth writing experience, and feels quite like a fountain pen in terms of ink flow. If it lasts as long as a gel pen before running out (too early to tell yet) I may well make this my go-to pen. Range of nib sizes allows artists plenty of choice, but it's also helpful for the mere pen-pusher like me.

I have used these Pin Fineliners on and off for years. They have always proved reliable and consistent and are very good value.. The thinner nibs do wear down rather quickly if you use overuse them for shading but for line work they are excellent and longlasting. The only downside is that once they do run out you have to throw them away. I have bought some Copic Multi-Liners because of this issue but have had a few problems with them.

It's a really nice pen! It's not the thinnest I've ever used, but to be fair the thinnest I've used was like 2 atoms thick and is now discontinued anyway. The pen tip is just as described by another reviewer... very "creamy." It's incredibly smooth, creamy really is the best way to describe it. Sometimes, especially on smooth paper, it feels like it's really just... gliding over the paper. It's a pleasant feeling. The ink is saturated with color and very black, no dark grey here. I haven't noticed bleeding or feathering, even on cheaper paper. Lines are crisp and clean and a pleasure to create and view. The tip can bend with excessive force, but that shouldn't happen unless you have a horrible death grip like the person who I unfortunately decided to let borrow ... MoreIt's a really nice pen! Fortunately, you can bend it back into place and it doesn't seem to affect the inkflow at all, so extra points to that.I initially bought this pen to see if it could replace my favorite thin discontinued pen, and while it's not quite *that* thin, I've grown to like this pen and will likely repurchase when it's all dried up.

It is sooo thin! Fun to use for smaller details in art.I am not usually a fan of fineliners, but I found this one to be right up my ally! The black is not as bold compared to other brands, but for me it is the right color I needed. You do have to be careful with smaller tips when drawing to not break or deform it, but I found these a little more durable compared to other pens. Also fine the window on the cap pretty neat
I'm giving this pen 5 stars for several reasons.1. It's hard to describe, but this pen as a really 'creamy' writing tip. It feels different from a Micron, which may be bad news for some of you, but I personally really like it. I feel like my linework is a lot smoother with this pen (albeit having only used it on cardstock and watercolor paper). Writing on printer paper or less toothy/super smooth paper might prove difficult since this pen is so smooth.2. Compared to the Micron, this pen is cheaper. Now that might not seem like much, but if you're buying pen after pen for lining work (I burn through about 1/week) it adds up! I have yet to test if this pen's ink will run out faster or slower than the Micron.3. The tip, I've realized, doesn't chisel down as fast as ... MoreI'm giving this pen 5 stars for several reasons.1. I have yet to test if this pen's ink will run out faster or slower than the Micron.3. The tip, I've realized, doesn't chisel down as fast as Microns and is a little bit longer. The felt tip on Microns is softer and can get deformed rather quickly especially if you're working on a larger scale. This one is pretty solid. However, I kinda miss the line weights I could achieve with a slightly damaged Micron.4. I would give it a 4.5, but there is no 4.5 option.Generally a really solid inking pen that has archival (waterproof) ink. Will definitely buy again and I'd choose it over Copic and Faber Castel liners.
So I grew up using artline fineliners and honestly never thought I'd use another fineliner until I started bullet journaling. The standard artline fineliner doesn't tend to mix well when especially when adding a touch of watercolour. Since I've tried a few pigment fineliners (from cheap $1 ones to ones that cost $10 each) but the two I keep coming back to are these and Sakura brand fineliners. The barrel design of the uniball pigma micron reminds me a lot of the Sakura Pigma Micron, which are so far my favourite I've tried in the pigment fineliner range. Its performance does as well and because the cost is slightly less than Sakura you gotta give it full marks for being a well balanced, affordable fineliner. It is resistant to water which is great if like me and ... MoreSo I grew up using artline fineliners and honestly never thought I'd use another fineliner until I started bullet journaling. And of course it is pigment ink so it is fade resistant.I must add that I like the caps on these pens as they are slightly longer (again like Sakura pigmas) so you are likely not to knock the nib when recapping.
This pen doesn't write on plastic, it must be a water based ink.I needed it to wright on Test Tags.It has almost the exact same name as the oil based version.I think the oil based version has an "A" at the end.OfficeWorks doesn't appear to stock the oil based version.
this is SO SO SMALL you can fit a ton of doodles on a 5"x5" sticky note pad, great for on the go! Of course you can use it for detailing. Unless you're working microscopic, this will be perfect for the job.I was skeptical that this diameter was even possible, and I haven't measured the line weight, but it creates a really nice thin line.I think it's better than a Pigma Micron; I like the way it glides across the paper. The barrel feels a tad plasticky, and might be kinda slippery feeling, but I honestly don't mind because it's so small and that's what I want.
I started with Prismacolor and Staedtler when I leaned about microns. Then dedicated to Sakura micron and now was introduced to Unipin. I love how smooth and dark they are in comparison (Copic multi-liner is its competitor imo). They do seem slightly more delicate vs Sakura so treat them accordingly. They dry great for water-based artwork and I find their smaller nibs to perform better than others (so far). Don't be shy to pick up some individual pens. Especially during sales.
