Unisex Mac in A Sac Origin II Packable Waterproof Jacket Black Camo / M

I love this packable light mac. It has my favourites:Zipped external pockets, internal pockets, waterproof zip, hood packs away in the collar, mac packs away in a neat bag where the drawstrings remain attached to the seam of the bag rather than flapping around thus giving you a carrying handle. Have worn it but haven't really roadtested it yet so hope it continues to remain high in my esteem.Only thing missing for me is a zipped internal breast pocket.

This is a great quality jacket. Sadly, I had to return it. I am a size 14/16 so went for the large. It did fit nicely but this was only with a t-shirt on, not layers. However, the arms were just way too long on me. I am 5 ft 6 so not particularly ‘short’ and I haven’t really had problems with other jacket sleeve lengths before. I realise this is unisex so is catering for everyone. The elastic wrist cuffs were said to be very snug, but they weren’t on me. This meant that the sleeves wouldn’t stay in place at my wrist but were falling down over my hands which I couldn’t be doing with. Such a shame…

Compact lightweight waterproof jacket, that seems to have performed as hoped so far - very packable, no leaks, sizing seems about right considering I am fairly broad across chest & shoulders. In UK has proved breathable and comfortable to wear, I may be able to give update, later on how the jacket performs in hotter more humid weather, as this is coming along on a trip to the rain forest, where it as certain to rain in August as Northern Ireland! - only jacket chosen for size and value for money and the funky white camouflage edition! Fingers crossed it remains as comfortable to wear!

Another great purchase

I purchased this after getting the waterproof trousers years ago. Have been using both for cycling. The jacket is light but powerful to keep me dry and warm. Love the details and the colours. So many pockets as well! The hidden snood is the best feature.. no flapping snood while cycling.

Bought on a whim after it was recommended in a running group and the price point meant it wouldn't be too much of a gamble if it proved less than useful. However, it's great! Waterproof and really windproof too.I ordered unisex teal camo in Small, which was a mistake; it's quite big (I am size 8/10). But it's fine for my intended purposes (especially over a running pack) and it also means it's roomy enough to comfortably add a down jacket under it if needed in the mountains.I tested it on an 11 mile run through some of Snowdonia's finest sideways rain, and it performed well. Great packable mac

I love this jacket. It has nearly all the features I want:Breathable, light, rainproof, external zipped pockets, internal pockets, sturdy waterproof zip, storable hood. The only reason for 4 star not 5 (and it's being picky really) is that I love a zipped internal pocket which I've had on other jackets at breast height.Also the reason for a 3 on performance is because I have only just ordered the jacket and it's summer so I haven't had a chance to test its performance yet.

Loved the Mac. It will be really useful in tge future. Haven’t tried it in heavy rain yet but it looks well sealed and I’m hoping will stand up to bad weather!I’m size 16 and bought xl but wished I had bought large tge arms are very long which is good if you want to tuck them up and I had tried to anticipate weather warm clothing underneath Regardless of that. I’m really pleased with it, rolls up nice and small, looks stylish, loved the colour and easy to pull out if the sac in the rain. I would defo recommend!!!

Great value jacket

Really like this simple, lightweight waterproof. It’s decent quality for the price and is wearable right out of the pack - not too crinkled.The colour is great, nice and bright for safety in the darker months but pretty enough in the daylight without needing sunglasses to look at it!I am a size 10 and ordered a small based in size chart - I didn't consider that being unisex sizes it would probably run a bit big and it does. I think XS would be a better fit but didn't have time to exchange before a trip away. The looser fit does make it a bit airy but also gives room to layer up well underneath in colder weather so it's still practical.I haven't tested it in extreme rain yet and wouldn't rely on it as my main waterproof for hiking but it's great for throwing in a ... MoreReally like this simple, lightweight waterproof. Very handy piece of kit.

PERFECT COMPACT JACKET

I bought the jackets primarily for using on holidays both in the UK and overseas. With them being so small they are ideal for my purposes and the little sac they come with is great too for carrying and protecting it. I bought two of the bright neon coloured jackets for myself so as to stand out well to others, for example in poor light . I was so pleased with my jackets that I wanted to purchase another one as a gift for my sister but discovered that she already had one. Thank you Mac in a Sac for manufacturing such a practical jacket. They are worth every penny!

Review Black Camo

The Mac in a Sac black camo fit exactly what I need, thin, light weight, waterproof, windproof and most importantly packable. It can be packed into a small pouch that fits nicely into my sling bag. The only issue I have is the shipping cost, it cost the same as the jacket. There should have options to choose different shipping courier from fast DHL/FEDEX to low-cost postage (longer time) to reduce shipping cost.
