Literally this is an American made take on a classic studio mic whose current production model sells for $4000, with vintage models fetching much more. I love everything about this UT FET47, definitely feel like I got in on a sweetheart deal for the sheer build quality, use of high end parts, and just flat sounding good on anything I've put in front of it, it really is that good. I can't brag enough about this microphone, well done, well done!!

Amazing customer service sourcing me a microphone before they arrived in the UK. No hassle approach to business worked well for me. As for the microphone it’s a quality bit of kit, built well, sounds brilliant and most of all didn’t break the bank to get hold of a modern day classic. I paired mine with a Rycote shock mount for voice over work.

I have owned Neumann u47 fet and recorded with it many times. One annoying aspect of many other clones is they just dont get the body and grill even close to that of the original. This one has the look, feel, build integrity, and sound of an original, so bravo UT!! Definitely gives the vibe and suits all of the same duties at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend to anyone needing a real u47 fet but don’t have the $4400.
Fantastic on kick drums, bass cabs, and my voice. Those are the things I’ve tried it on so far. It’s been over 20 years since I had access to a “real” 47FET, but this is every bit as good to my ears and memory. And wallet.

This mic is ridiculously overbuilt and engineered for the price compared to other options. I should buy 100 of them for an investment at this price. When you hear this mic capture anything with low end you will be impressed. The highs are tamed compared to most condensers but not neglected and can be pushed with eq if needed. The low noise and beautiful low end richness of this mic is amazing. Vocals on this through a good preamp are better than any radio chain standards you may have used.
Overall:I got this mic and thought it would be useful, but it has virtually replaced my Neumann for vocals. It is clear and smooth with a solid bottom end and a nice subtle boost in the mid range. Construction is rock solid and aesthetics of this one are true to the original. I was considering a Hizermann FET47 but am glad that I went the UT route - and saved about half.

This mic lived up to the hype and then some, delivering incredible sounds right out of the box.I immediately set the mic up (the built in mount makes it very easy) and began tracking vocals. This mic delivers warm, crisp tones as you would expect from a 47 but rounded out with a special sauce I haven't heard anywhere else.The mics response is fast and inspiring. In addition to vocal application, I used this mic on my drummer's kick drum (I play in a band called Escaper on Ropeadope Records) and the results were outstanding! A warm and pronounced kick sound that sounds great in the mix. I'm excited to continue making music with this incredible mic.
