For the price that you pay, you get amazing quality. It's packaged nicely in a aluminium tin and easy to take along with you. Also comes with a lens cloth. It protects your lens and the photos that come out look much better than without it. My whole family has one of Urth's UV lens on all their lenses, so would definitely recommend

I ordered a 77 and 82 mm filter as lens protectors.As I fitted the 82mm filter, it simply cracked and so is unusable.Having screwed hundreds, perhaps thousands of filters on to lenses over the years, I don't think this is "operator error" It would appear to me that the glass is both very thin and very brittle.The filters may be OK in smaller sizes but I'd avoid these filters in larger sizes.

For the price that you pay, you get amazing quality. It's packaged nicely in a aluminium tin and easy to take along with you. Also comes with a lens cloth. It protects your lens and the photos that come out look much better than without it. My whole family has one of Urth's UV lens on all their lenses, so would definitely recommend

I just received my first Gobe filter (a three mountain UV) for my birthday. I must tell you that this is probably the finest filter I have used in the past 35 years. As a professional photographer, and a photographic teacher and clinic leader, I am extremely picky about what goes on my lenses. Your filter has the finest, sharpest transmission I have ever encountered. In addition, it is also the best built. Next up I will need to be adding a CPL filter to my arsenal. Once I test that I am sure that I will be recommending Gobe filters to all my students. I may have to see if I can snag a sample or two! Thank you for your wonderful product!
Amazing UV filter for my Sony 55mm 1.8 lens. No lens glare when you're taking fotos straight to light. No distortion or lack of sharpness on image. I'm so happy with this filter than I've bought another one for my Tamron lens, even though I already got a UV filter for that one (which is a cheap one and get me lens glare and other problems) Worth every penny.
I needed a filter for a new Canon lens, and the Canon ones were too expensive.So I found URTH products, they're great for the price, and help the world to be a better place with the plant-a-tree projects. I actually planted 10 trees, and I'm ordering other stuff from them.I like the design of the packages, and the products are really reliable too.About the UV lens, it seems perfectly transparent. Solid frame, solid protection box and a nice lens cloth. I'll use it on my Canon lens soon (when it will arrive, maybe today) and I'll check the result using an original protection lens from Canon and this one. But I'm sure I'll like the URTH one!I recommend this!
Very pleased with the ultra fast delivery. Can’t comment yet on the UV protection properties of the filter, but it doesn’t seem to affect image quality in a bad way. My only complaint is the filter treat aren’t as good as other more expensive filters I own. But again, at that price I can afford a good 95mm to protect my lens which is normally too expensive when you look at other brands for what it is.
I recently began upgrading my camera system to higher quality used gear. With every new lens purchase I needed new filters. Urth provides a way for me to buy world class filters at affordable prices. And I get to help plant trees as a bonus!
I do not have dislikes from this filter because I actually enjoyed it on my Tamron 17-70 emount lens. I was shooting in Boulder, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park. Where there was some haze with the naked eye around the peaks, the filter removed any notice in the photos. It even minimize the lens flare when I left the hood off. Instead of multiple broad flares burning into the image, the flares were softened. When I attached my Urth+ Variable ND Filter with the UV filter, I was able to capture more details in the exposure. I love my Urth products.

It does everything I would expect and demand of a filter from a big name camera builder selling at more than three times the cost.The recyclable cardboard box is a nice touch because it provides excellent protection during shipping and since I don't intend to take one of these filters off later because it's main function is to protect an expensive lens, the fancy containers other manufactures include end up as wasted money because you are only going to need them once.One reviewer said this filter turned all of his pictures green because he noticed the outer anti-reflective layer was reflecting a green color. The color of the reflected light on the face of the lens or filter in no way has any effect on the picture you take, but help you to see how well the coating is rejecting unwanted internal reflections.. There are eight different coatings on each side of this filter to control internal reflections and the multi coating tech needed to get the eight layers on each side of the filter are an expensive process. Most cheaper lenses and filters have a faint violet reflective appearance because they have only one type of coating which is generally applied to both sides of the glass while the better filters and lenses may have an amber looking reflective layer that indicates a better multi coated lens or filter with more than one type of coating.The green color of the most expensive lenses and filters was for years exclusively found only on Carl Zeiss lenses under their ""T*"" logo brand of lens and filter coatings.I need to also mention that among the top tier optical sellers of filters, few of them actually make the filters sold under their official brand names because the filter market is much smaller than the lens business and not a huge profit generator, so they farm filter production out to specialty companies. For many years Minolta was the only maker of the raw optical glass used for lens making that had the same optical properties as the glass from the Zeiss JANA works. Since Sony purchased Minolta it is no surprise to me they are able to feature Zeiss branded lenses on their higher end cameras since they would be easily able to meet the requirements needed to properly use the Zeiss trademarks under license.Here are two pictures taken with identical lenses with one lens with the T* coating and the other without any ant-reflective coatings.Zeiss says that the ""T"" in the name of those lenses and filters means ""Transparency"" because their optical properties ""make the glass disappear""
