Calmed itch but gave me vaginal eczema

I had symptoms of a yeast infection, but my doctor wasn't available for 2 weeks. The itching was intense and stopped me from even simple walks to my kitchen, rendering me on bed rest basically. I purchased this product before I had a diagnoses basically just to live my life and it did numb the itch, unfortunately it gave me eczema. Now I'm yeast free, but still have itching and my doctor says it's because of this product. There's a fragrance which seems so counter intuitive considering it is supposed to alleviate irritation. Maybe it's a capitalist scheme to prolong discomfort and keep you using the cream, maybe my skin is just sensitive. Needless to say I regret my purchase, it is now in the trash and I will return to never buying vagisil products.

Contains fragrance. Will make things worse

This will relieve itching initially, but will make the problem so much worse because there’s fragrance in there. If there’s fragrance, who knows what other ingredients in there might be harmful. I didn’t think to check for fragrance when I bought it because what an insane product to add fragrance to. I’m writing off the brand entirely and would never purchase another product since they showed such obscenely poor judgement formulating this one. I want my money back directly from the company. CVS didn’t come up with this stupid idea.

Recently I had some medical problems and needed relief fast. Because of the antibiotics I was on, it messed with my pH (Yay, fun!). This medication is amazing. It stops the embarrassing itchiness and burning... And even works for intense itch. The effects lasted between 4-5 hours. And the directions say you can use it up to 3 times a day I believe. Within a few days, I was getting back to normal. The only con about this product is that I did notice it seemed to dry me out a little bit (my apologies if that information is a bit gross for some but I wanted to give an accurate description). Other than that this product is absolutely worth the price.

Severe allergic reaction first time using

Bought for a mild itch. After 3 days of use I ended up with a rash, severe blisters and red edema spots going down my tights. My skin on my fingers started to peel. I ended up with hives on my chest. 3 doctors, multiple tests and medications and a biopsy finally came back positive for an allergic reaction to Vagasil. Worst experience every! going on 5 weeks and finally getting better,

So painful to use just AWFUL!

I got this because it was the only product that said it was Good for itch caused by antibiotic side effects. It made me feel like I had chemical burns! I have never been in so much pain and discomfort with how much continued burning and pain this product has caused.Please consider changing and making this more gentle on women's private areas.Even after showering and sleeping the residual burning and pain is still there and I followed the directions. Horrible product for a woman's most sensitive area.

Used it For Years Successfully

I have used this product forever and it does the trick for me. No more itching. However, there is one caveat: it doesn’t keep forever. So make note of the expiration date and buy accordingly. The active ingredient can degrade, especially if exposed to extreme temperatures. You will know because the cream will turn from white to brown.
