Valentino Born in Roma Yellow Dream Donna Eau De Parfum 100ml

Recently I have been loving collecting fragrances. Every time I order something from Sephora I try to get at least 1 fragrance sample, and I order from there a lot (haha!). With my last purchase I received a sample of Valentino's Born in Roma. The first time that I smelled this perfume, I didn't like it at ALL...but then it kind of grew on me. The more I smelled it, the more i liked it. I'm by no means any kind of perfume expert, and I'm having trouble identifying notes, but there's a subtle sweetness there that I really like. This is a warm floral fragrance inspired by Roman street style and edgy haute couture. A trio of jasmine flowers and sparkling blackcurrant fuse with warm vanilla and rich woods to create a scent that captures the essence of modern femininity. The values and personality of the iconic haute couture fashion house come to life through this experiential floral perfume for women. The sweet floral women's fragrance held within the studded bottle beautifully contrasts with the edgy design inspired by Roman architecture. This isn't a fragrance that I would have typically picked for myself, but I'm really glad that I have it. I definitely recommend it, and am going to enjoy wearing it!

It is so floral vanilla it is amazing I get compliments all the time actually every time I wear it which is every day at the same time over and over and over and over. I get compliments it lasts all day. I could still smell it on me when I go to bed at night if I don’t shower that night because I tend to shower in the mornings and yes it is probably one of the best smells I’ve ever smelled and I definitely recommend the price point is don’t even look at it just do it. I received a full-sized bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense eau de parfum complimentary for testing purposes and in exchange for my honest review. I have not experienced the original Born in Roma perfume, but this iteration is supposed to amplify the vanilla aspect of the original, in addition to amber and jasmine notes. This is not a “must-have” vanilla scent in my opinion as a vanilla-lover, but it is a deeper and warmer type of vanilla if you’re looking for something more developed and nuanced. I don’t pick up much on the floral notes, but perhaps that’s because this is a cold (January/February) time of year that I’ve been wearing it. I find this suitable for daytime or nighttime use, although you will need touch-up sprays after 3 or 4 hours. I do find it to be a little overpriced ($156 for 3.4 fl oz and $130 for 1.7 fl oz), but that has more to do with my own personal preferences than my disposable income. I’d recommend if someone was interested and wants every warm-vanilla-floral perfume under the Sun. I would prefer longer lasting power for something this bougie.

I typically gravitate towards vanilla and wood notes, with some florals thrown in here and there, and this really just fits my fragrance personality perfectly. I absolutely love everything about this fragrance and I feel so lucky that I received this. This will definitely be a fragrance I use for a long time and honestly it may be my signature fragrance. New holy grail - worth every penny

I would BATHE in this perfume if I could. At first it has an intense candy like smell which I thought would stick around and was actually not my favorite. It's extremely strong when you first spray it on, but settles very nicely while maintaining the integrity of the scent. It's very slightly musky, warm, and sexy sweet (but not too sweet) in all of the right ways. This was a blind purchase based off of its high reviews and I've never been happier with a perfume. It's knocking down all of my past favorites and taking the number one spot. Totally agree with all previous reviews of how amazing this perfume is and it is definitely better than most I've tried - even my YSL black opium which I am pretty loyal to. That may just be me getting old and getting sticker shock with standard inflation. I can say with 100% certainty, I would not spend $156 on this or even $85 for the smallest bottle. This is all just based off my personal preferences.

I have to start this off by saying that I fell in love with this perfume. I always love my perfumes to be either elegant, soft, and delicate. This one is definitely something different for me and that's not a bad thing at all. I usually tend to go for a floral scent with nothing Intense or with vanilla in it . It’s a beautiful scent with top notch performance, but I don’t get any reminders of the original.
