With the mishmash of notes, it might not look very wearable. But it's surprisingly cohesive. The tomato adds a balsamic zing to it, but not in a way that smells gross or bizarre. The iris is very present from the beginning on me, and the leather creeps in pretty early on too. My biggest concern before trying it was the middle notes - sage and patchouli can both be sharp (in different ways), and the combination sounded unappealing to me. However, the patchouli has very little presence, and the sage here blends in well with the other notes, which I was happy about. Overall it's very green, aromatic, and iris-y. Despite having several dark notes, it still smells uplifting and fresh. Unique, but not to the level you might expect from the notes. A nice everyday scent!

Valentino Uomo EDT begins with the coolness and a bit of spiciness of Bergamot. It awakens the senses to be immediately soothed by the scent of myrtle flowers. As the top scent gradually dissipates into the air, its place is replaced by the aromatic taste of hazelnuts. Chocolate and coffee beans blend together to create an attractive mixture. Makes the scent more elegant and masculine. The amount of essential oil is average but the fragrance can stay on your skin for 7 to 12 hours. Valentino Uomo EDT is suitable for use in the atmosphere of autumn and winter. Luxurious, outstanding fragrance suitable for parties or crowded places.

I know Uomo Intense has the big cult following, but I've always preferred this one. It's such a rich, complex fragrance that really evolves over the course of a couple hours. It starts as a sweet herbal scent (I think it smells like black liquorice, which I happen to love, though I know plenty of people who hate it and love the top notes here) before settling into cozy hazelnut coffee--a supremely lovely scent--that uplifts the cedar and leather base notes. Altogether, it's reminiscent of waiting for your order at the cafe in the cold autumn, and who wouldn't want that bottled up to wear? I haven't come across anything that quite resembles this one (Though I've heard it's similar to Dior Homme, which I've yet to try myself). (Admittedly, this is one of my favorites just for wearing around the house. I find it so cozy and comforting and, from what I've been told, is apparently nice to snuggle up next to.) It wears sophisticated and mature, but not 'old.' I think people of most ages could pull this off, and while the leather and cedar base notes end this on a very traditional masculine scent, the sweet herbal top notes and nutty chocolate heart notes could make Uomo EDT a particularly bold and daring unisex choice, if you're so inclined. It's a shame this is so hard to come by these days. It's a stunning and truly unique fragrance, and one of the best performing EDT's I've ever tried.

What can I say, this fragrance is very interesting. I started with fragrance journey with this beauty and Sauvage Parfum. This one easily became my favorite out of the two and I have used this one in all four seasons! Since this has been reformulated two different times, reading notes can be confusing. This one starts with a surprising mix of citrus (lemon and bergamot). and develops into a interesting combination of iris, cardamom, pepper, and some vanilla too. I hear the thirst formulation is similar enough but it does feature less notes than the first reformulation. Would still recommend even if the original was the best out of the three.

The mandarin and tomato top notes drew me in to this one. A unique scent profile for my collection and the tomato is well done in this fragrance. It is on dry down is nice but subdued. Leather is also present in the dry down but not too noticeable to me. Decent projection after 5 sprays but not overpowering. Sillage is also nice for a couple hours. Skim scent on me after about 3 or 4 hours. Not sure this is still being made, might be discontinued. Non offensive amd gets a compliment here or there. Better day fragrance or work fragrance imo.

I love this scent, I really do. And so do other people; I get comments on it very often. It smells like refined masculinity without being overpowering. You know when you get in a taxi and you just smell the driver's cologne and it's incredibly harsh?It's not at all like that. It's a soft enough fragrance that smelling it directly after application isn't egregious.Having the top note include bergamot is a great addition because the citrus smell will be slightly noticeable but won't linger. The Crema di Gianduia adds nice hazelnut and chocolate, but a hint of coffee would elevate this even more I think.Everybody giving this 1-2 stars seem to not understand fragrances and go in with certain preconceived notions... That's not how you shop for scents. My recommendation is to go in-person, try a scent and leave it on for the entire day to see how it evolves, and if you still like it in the evening or morning, then buy it.Fragrances are not a "One size fits all" equation. It's hard to say that something is objectively 'bad' because everybody's skin is different. After applying a scent, the smell changes according to your body chemistry; oils, sweat, hormones, moisturizer, etc., so you need to judge it by an extended wear time, not by the first half hour or by spritzing in the air.

Reformulation is terrible

I bought this fragrence on Jomashop which still listed the coffee, hazelnut, and chocolate notes. The reformulation is a totally different fragrence from the original. Shouldn't be called the same thing. This isn't even close to what I wanted. I'm sure it's good but when you were expecting the original or something close to that, this suck! Not what I wanted at all. I will be returning it for sure.
