Iris is my favorite note in a fragrance, and the way it is used here is my favorite when compared to others like big-name designer houses like Dior Homme Intense or Prada l'homme Intense. Top notes of mandarin orange and nutmeg. Middle notes of juniper and sage. Base notes - and where the actual magic is happening - Iris, vanilla, tonka beans, leather and patchouli. The top and middle notes are not prominent or long-lasting. They either fade into obscurity or recede into a supporting role to boost the base notes, and I am so glad that they do. It can definitely be a good offer fragrance, but there are more casual iris based fragrances that I would consider.

It opens with loads of powdery notes as you would expect from most iris fragrances. I get that lipstick vibe again thanks to iris in it. I wasn’t anticipating that much sweetness from this. The vanilla is extra sweet. So sweet that the leather is not all that noticeable. This is a lovely scent though and performance is above average. Lasts a long time but on my skin i don’t get some crazy projection

Overpriced and weak. No longevity or projection.

This fragrance was a blind purchase because I wanted to try something new and get away from the generic, mainstream designer fragrances. I was let down by this fragrance. It has weak projection and the notes don't develop as the time goes by.It smells like leather cleaner and baby powder, constantly. You don't get hints of any sort of sweet or floral notes at all.I give this a solid 2 out 5. It needs to be in the price range of $40 because that is what this fragrance performs like.

So Good So Unique

The scent is amazing. First spray you get a hit of iris with a touch of sage. The dry down is even better and you get a sweetness of leather and vanilla. Longevity and performance is incredible. This scent really stands out from the rest so if you’re looking for something unique this is the one. Compared it to Dior Homme Intense and yes there are similarities but I think longevity and creative wise I’d give the edge to Valentino.

I dont typically like floral fragrances I prefer sweet, fruity or musky but Im truly enjoying this musky floral fragrance The rose white musk are the first scents I detect along with a hint of invigorating lemoncitrus. One spritz is strong will leave me smelling deliciously perfumed all day night..Overall This is such an edgy, chic designed perfume bottle that captures the culture, heritage confidence of Valentino. I would never normally select a floral musky fragrance but Im happy this pushed me outside of my comfort zone to try something new. Its a steep luxury purchase of 130 for full size but it truly lasts all day night. You only need one spritz per use so this perfume will last you a long time. If you have a sensitive nose, smell a sample first as it is refreshing but a potent scent.
