This very matte Varnish has worked very well for me. I paint professionally with great detail that I need preserved without the 'snow' effect higher priced varnishes like army painter leave. This is my choice Varnish

Got this to seal my bjd's face ups and could not be happier. If used as instructed, the result is really worth the investment.
I LOVE THIS SPRAY! I paint Ball Jointed Dolls and I bought this on the recommendation of a fellow hobbyist after my usual sealer (Mr Super Clear Flat) didn't work well with the dark resin doll I was working on - it ghosted up in the corners of the facial features and looked dusty. Vallejo spray on the other hand is gorgeous - lovely texture, dries completely clear, doesn't smell anywhere near as terrible as MSC nor is it as toxic. It's also much better value for money, coming in huge 400ml cans! Will definitely be purchasing more in the future and I'll be using it on all of my dolls from now on! My one 'complaint' is that it takes a little longer to dry, but that's honestly not a huge problem.
I love how it really is true matte, there is no gloss after it dries. It is not quite as durable as satin or gloss but that is normal for matte varnish. Just put a few extra coats on it. This mimic was coated with this varnish.
Used to varnish my minis, leaves a nice finish. Shake the can throughly before use.
Apart from the smell, which is not what I am used to when using clear coats, trialing this spray was rather surprising. It goes on thinner than others, so less is required. Locks in the paint detail without dulling it down. And does not reduce the level of detail work when applied I think I have a new contender when spraying
There is way to much moisture in the can; and sprays way to much content onto the subject product and floods the surface !
This product spray evenly and provides a quick drying Matt finish that works well on figures and terrain flock as well (some varnishes flatten flock). Also spraying does not give off noxious fumes. Good stuff all round
