Vango F10 Helium UL 1-Person Tent - Alpine Green

Nicely designed light tent at a cost that is significantly cheaper than other makes of similar design and weight.Just be careful as it is not the most robust construction, but that's what you get when you prioritise weight over strength.

I have yet to use the tent so cannot give a full review. However so far the F10 Helium UL2 exceeds my selection expectations for quality, weightlessness and value for money for solo use. Well made with 70D highly waterproof tub, lightweight fly, breathable inner and stable when pitched it in very high winds. I was concerned that the pre-angled main pole with short sections would be tricky to push through the hoop sleeve - not so. Two O-shaped doors with two-way zips makes it easy to get in and out of and ventilate. Other features include: Pitches all in one, Dyneema guylines and mini-lock runners for great strength to weight ratio, quick stow bag and good venting options.

Overall very pleased with this tent, ultralight and enough room for me and my gear. Only gave 4 stars for quality as some of the finishing touches on stitching and seam sealing could be better.

Amazing lightweight tent

Pros: lightweight and compact; very good quality of materials; enough place for you and a backpack. Cons: can be set up only with the use of pegs, which makes it difficult on rough terrain; may have insufficient height for tall people when seated (i am 172 and my head touched the top when I was seating inside). I used this tent a couple of times so far and found it excellent for the short hiking trips.

Excellent tent, affordable and well-designed. Not for extreme conditions, though.

FOR: It is very light. As ultra-light 2-man tents go, it is not super-expensive. It is easy to set-up. Its green colour blends into the environment perfectly. Perfect for fast and light 3-season sheltered use in good weather. AGAINST: It is quite small internally - if either or both of the occupants is large, then there may be a problem - and there is hardly any room for your packs. The tent feels relatively flimsy, so despite the force 10 designation, I am certain this isnt a tent for really bad weather, high winds or high altitude; Or winter use, come to that. CONCLUSION: Recommended, especially for one-man use. Still recommended for two, if neither of you are whopping great fatties or candidates for the Worlds Strongest Man. Great Tent!

Very pleased with this tent, lots of room for one person, would be cozy for two. Spent two rainy nights in it and it stayed dry. Easy and quick to set up and having flysheet first/all in one means you stay dry There was some interior condensation but I put that down to the wet weather.

Super light

This is my second helium. The first lasted me 12 years in Ozz. Would be good if it lasted a bit longer but can fault the weight especially when travelling with ropes and other climbing gear.

I've only used it the once so far, but the weather was windy and wet. It went up easyly and quickly enough for me to be snug inside within minutes

Vango F10 Helium UL 2 Man Tent

I have only set it up in the garden, but it seems typically well made as all Vango tents seem to be. Seems a bit more roomy inside than my Vango Banshee 200. I'm glad a had a trial run pitching it as getting the angle of the short end poles right is a bit tricky, bit worth it as it's such a light tent.

Perfect for me and my two staffies, light and packable takes up little space in my 40l rucksack. Completely weatherproof which you expect from vango made in Scotland, just about to take it on the cumbria way with peace of mind it can be trusted.
