After wearing Era's and Old Schools for 20 years, I got a pair of authentics. They were the only thing in stock in the all black. After wearing the two other shoes and then the authentics, I can say without a doubt they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I made the mistake of getting these before going into a new job. My heels, my back, everything waist down is killing me. I am not an old man, i started wearing vans at 8 years old. I am Vans Family for life, but I will not be buying another pair of these shoes. I just might burn them or put them through a wood chipper out of spite.

Shoes are good, totally fine.I have another 2-3 pairs that represent these exact Authentic style / brand of Vans. The old shoes have substantially more padding into the canvas, especially at the heel. The ones I bought here are canvas only, 0 padding. Not necessarily bad, because that padding doesn't do a ton, but it is indeed a noticeable drop in quality.I buy the shoes for the flatness and for the flex in the width, which flexes better than any other shoe of any other material. Also just generally looks good.But yeah, if you're going to hold these at a standard of your past purchases, you'll be disappointed.

Have bought countless pairs of hightop sk8 pros and am their biggest advocate. These half cabs are size 11 and they still dont fit me and I have no hope of tying the laces? im size 10 and always have been with vans why are these difrently sized ? I cant take them back as I got them as a gift but they are un skatable they feel like a size 9 and actually hurt my feet but say 11 and I cant tie the laces? Really confused as to why these are sized difrently and why are the laces so short ? If id bought size 12 and some long laces id be allgood.Might have to go back to high tops because I feel like I cant skate these ? Gutted as the look alright tooI can see flatground skaters enjoying them but you need to size up!

They feel good once on and broken in, the build is solid the material is solid, Aesthetically they will work with any look.However the "size 11 Uk" just isnt a "size 11 UK", I have multiple other pairs of VANs shoes of differing styles all size 11 Uk, which have fittted perfectly out of the box, with minimal redoing of the laces. The all black pair (not the black and white) is the only pair of Vans I haven't been able to wear the Vans low no show socks with (they're really the best!) and had to buy more athletic socks with a heel tab to help cut back on the rubbing. I'm super disappointed with this particular pair of shoes. Wish I could return.. waste of my hard earned money.
Love this pigskin edition of Half Cabs, they're my go-to skate shoe. Foot support is so solid, without being clunky or sacrificing boardfeel. As with all SKATE models, go a half size up to compensate for the popcush. And they take extra time to break in. Once they do, and griptape starts to round-out the soles, so nice and comfy.But... no baggie with spare laces?!?! What up with that? Not even a sticker tag. Pretty disappointing if this is new norm for SKATE Vans. An extra pair of laces is essential added value for skate shoes, typically the first thing I wear through. And the stock Vans replacement laces aren't the same quality. Could be a deal breaker for me next time.
All I wear is vans, but recently I bought wide shoes and they were completely too big and slid off so I bought the regular authentic and still the Backing of the shoe is too big, my shoes are the same size I have previously bought and this new pair slip off when I walk. Compared to old shoes the backing is wider. I have bought many pairs and it's very upsetting I can't return due to shoes already worn. If sizing and fit is different then a warning should be noted. I have bought many pairs and never had an issue. What a waste of money. It's like maybe this pair will fit maybe not!
People have been buying and wearing these shoes for years! I have been buying and wearing these shoes for years and there's a reason why! These shoes are incredibly comfortable, not inaccessible in expense, and get the job done! I wear these casually and for work and they have yet to let me down. Once you break these bad boys in, it's game over. The break-in period only took me less then a week. I'm looking to buy another pair soon because my last pair are busted up but they served me oh so well. Maybe this time I'll switch up the colors. 100/10 would reccomend.

Sooner or later from too much scratching you do some marks on the grip tape depending on your kind of shoe as well. From all the shoes I had worn, vans have been the only that has lasted me the longest. There are many athletes and skateboarders that could also agree with me.Not only because of the quality as well because of how comfortable and outgoing they are.

Since the material is strong and thin the best thing to do is change up the inside of the shoe and replace it with some wool. I am actually one to experience because after walking or doing a specific activity in these shoes. The foot always feels wet and hardly any dry. I have also tried different types of socks to test them out but they always feel the same.Overall the shoe is fantastic and everyone should get several pairs including you if you haven't already. As a consumer I'm always satisfied and I have several friends and family members that feel the same way.
