I like this vacuum so much as it has great features. It works great for doing wet suctions as well as it has a powerful blower which works well for drying carpets in case of a unwanted water spill.. I have used it for doing spot cleaning for my carpet, couches and my car seats. It is an excellent product and is a good value for money.

This was the least expensive vac in the store. I had borrowed same from neighbour and noticed it worked better than my Dyson animal stick. So new vac in order. At the store I realised that what we are talking g about is sucking up dirt. This one seems very powerful. Also is a blower which could be incredibly useful to some. Excellent value. Will get dirt out of your carpet! Excellent.

We purchased the vacuum cleaner based on the image and it's features. We didn't inspect the vacuum cleaner personally before purchase. The vacuum cleaner works fine. We haven't used it with wet conditions. Only on carpet and laminate flooring. The vacuum cleaner head is cheaply made. Doesn't pivot compared to other vacuum cleaners. However it's rectangular shape is excellent for getting in corners. The straight pipes are flimsy. I'm worried it will break. It bends when vacuuming carpet. The dust bag set up is also cheaply made. I bought this vac from bunnings. The head will not run over carpet so i rang Vax. They told me to go to bunnings and spend 40 dollars on the POWER HEAD. What a joke Always getting clogged with the tiniest amount of dust. Having to stop and start continuously to unblock the head. Why cant they just sell a proper head on the first place. I WILL NEVER BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN. grrrrr
I bought this as a shop vac. Purely to suck up wood dust and shavings and what not and it does that with ease. The attachments are a little flimsy but what do you expect for $99 As a plus, the hose fits perfectly into the extraction points on my power tools (Ozito - yeah Im a part time wood worker ha ha). I expect I might need to buy some more robust parts later on but all good. I also use it in the house on hardwood occasionally just to pick up dust and the little white stones the @rse hat who designed this (rental) house covered the drive way in. As a pleasing side note - I was draining our pond and needed to get the last bit of water and this vacuum did it easy. Negative. This model comes with a 20-litre drum-type dust accumulation body, which is great. Even though it's "only" 1250W, it's got great suction and really makes a good job of the floor. At around $100 it's also well-priced compared to other vacuums on the market. It has an 8-metre flex cord which needs to be wound around the machine when you've finished, which is fine. Eight metres is plenty to get around a typical house, I think. So, all in all, I'm happy with the machine, except...why oh why didn't VAX include a "dry-floor" head for it? The instructions tell you to remove this (the brush and rubber scraper attachment) from the body of the head in order to use on carpet, etc. The problem is, this leaves you with a hollow plastic head which is 260mm by 40mm. There should be some sort of attachment with a couple of small wheels and a smooth underside so that you can easily vacuum carpets and rugs. Instead there's nothing. The only way you can use this vacuum cleaner on carpets/rugs is to drag it backwards; there's no way you can push the head around on such surfaces. So perhaps VAX intended that this machine only be used for sucking up water, or for wood/tiled/lino surfaces? If so, this should be stated on the box or at least on the website of the company selling the machine. I will look around for a head from another vacuum cleaner that fits the plastic pipe/handle so that this machine is more user-friendly.
Well, we bought this for $99. It's a pity it has a bag that needs replacing when used, or a lot of careful emptying. The suction is great, the power is great, and it is not too uncomfortable. I was also a little upset that the wet function seems to be simply for sucking up wet spills and such, but I have not actually tried it yet, instead of carpet cleaning. But I will write if I am in fact wrong, and can shampoo the carpet with it. Only thing I didn't purchase with the original was refill bags, I will see now if I can order some online at the target website.
I have been an avid Vax fan for several years. I owned Vax2000 and it lasted years and years. I then recently bought Vax VX40. Super disappointed that the rod and the hose is made out of super cheap plastic material. The 4 piece rod kept coming off the hose. So I contacted Vax to see if there are parts to replace it - something a little bit more tangible to use - but apparently not.So I went to Godfreys and replaced the Rod to metallic rod. It seems to be working better but I think they gave me the wrong size - so I will have to return it. It cost me a pretty penny but I am not one to give up easily.
Really good service using Good Guys click and collect. Friendly staff. Vac was simple to get going and works well with strong suction and minimal noise. More powerful than the cordless Dyson I was using. I didnt realise the wet /dry function means changing the dust filter and wrapping a supplied foam filter around in the body. I was working on something damp to begin with & swapped it, but think you only need to do that for big liquid spills. Very simple for dry use.
Cheap quality vaccum which has not enough suction power. The broom head does not roll easily. The handle is too short. You have to bend your self to vaccum. The only good thing it does is makes noise. Highly regret after buying it.
