Extremely disappointed. I wanted to like this product as one of the main vegan protein brands out there and got an extra large assuming nothing could go wrong. What a mistake. The chocolate does not taste like chocolate but rather just sweet weird sugar. The consistency is extremely powdery requiring a tremendous amount of liquid to be drinkable (otherwise you get a goop) so you end up having to drink it for longer (which is an issue considering it doesn't taste good at all). I will not be coming back for more even though I was planning to.

I enjoy being a vegan athlete. It's hard finding websites that have supplements with good ingredients. I've ordered protein from myvega for years and it is delicious. I'm not a vanilla and chocolate fan. So I usually purchase the berry flavored protein for my smoothies. Once I waited too late to order a refill and the smoothies just weren't the same. The protein powder is fine enough to where it blends well. The flavor isn't really strong but just subtle enough to enhance the taste.Vega sport protein is worth buying.
I give this product 5 stars. I typically make my shakes in a blender. I wanted to test many brands of vanilla to see how they would perform using a shaker bottle for when I travel, but the taste also has to be good! Not only did I find that it was the best tasting vanilla, but it breaks down completely when mixed in a shaker bottle. The other brands left chunks of vanilla in the bottle, but not Vega. Vega protein powder was completely broken down and smooth, with no ice, and left less air bubbles at the bottom of the shaker bottle, while the other brands left a lot of fluffy bubbles at the bottom which can lead to gas and bloat. With other brands I will have to wait for the air bubble to dissipate and who has time for that when you need your shake right after a ... MoreI give this product 5 stars. I was surprisingly let down by the premium protein powder in comparison to what I had gotten used to over the years for the sport protein. I'm not sure if they changed the formula, but this was not what what I was expecting at all from Vega. (I have been using their Vega sport since the beginning) I purchased the peanut butter flavor and the Berry flavor. The berry used to be my favorite, but this one was extremely gritty (more than what it used to be) and had poor consistency. It used to thicken really nicely and I felt like I was drinking a regular smoothie even though I just had the protein powder and water in there. The peanut butter flavor was so so. I definitely expected a stronger peanut flavor, but it is so subtle, I could have opted for something else ... I've been using Vega Sport Protein to make my tasty daily smoothies for years! I buy the giant size directly from Vega because this size is not sold in stores - and it's a lower cost per smoothie, esp. when Vega has a sale!!I always add lots of frozen fruit (Cdn. wild blueberries, a banana + some mango chunks) -- and I suggest you let the fruit melt a bit before turning on your blender. I then add the Vega protein powder + blend until smooth.p.s. The added fruit will create at least 2 full glasses, even though I only add the suggested 500 ml. of milk (try oat milk) and one plastic cupful of their protein powder. This drink is so tasty, energizing and healthy that you will look forward to drinking this every day!Enjoy, Jan G.
My favourite protein powder to-date! The texture and consistency is the smoothest plant-based protein I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot of different brands and all the other Vega varieties as well. The chocolate is my favourite flavour. I put it in my smoothies with raspberries, mixed berries, or just bananas. Sometimes, adding a bit of matcha powder or coffee beans makes it extra good! And of course, it's perfect in a shaker bottle with some soy milk for quick replenishment. Highly recommend!
They changed the formula again and are using brown rice protein. Honestly, this NOW taste like s***. it's stale smelling and tasting, it doesn't mix as nicely, and I barely get chocolate or vanilla flavor.I've been using this protein powder for about 9 years (religiously) and absolutely loved the Sport Protein for so many reasons, but am thoroughly dissapointed with the new taste. ugh.If i could made a recommendation: PLEASE GO BACK 2 FORMULAS AGO--the one with NO maltodextin? That one was smooth and fluffy when whisked up and had the best flavor and texture (that one was 5 stars 100%)
This is a pretty decent tasting vanilla. However, it’s pretty strong, so it really comes through in smoothies, no matter what fruit I put in. It also makes my smoothies a bit too sweet. I was initially excited that it only took one scoop to reach the protein amt on the label, but it turned out to be a huge scoop - probably as much as 2 scoops from other brands. That said, I’m happy that iHerb has some high protein plant based options like this one. I’ve never tried drinking it on its own with just water or plant milk, so I can’t speak to that. But it blends very smoothly in a blender and doesn’t taste chalky or like beans. It helps me reach my daily protein goals.
