VELUX VCM Manual Skylights are available in a range of sizes that are designed to fit within typical roof truss spacings. Had 2 of these installed by my roofer as part of a roof replacement.The size was an exact fit to replace the two old Roto skylights.Very clean install. Went in without a problem and with very little inside patchwork necessary.Look great from the outside as well.

Put a Velux skylight in the bathroom when we built the house 24 years ago.Happy with the fresh air when open.Had no problems with unit at all.Good product

I have 2 big skylights in my new home, and I'm unable to turn the plastic hooks to open them up. What am I doing wrong?

I have 2 big skylights in my new home, and I'm unable to turn the plastic hooks to open them up. What am I doing wrong?
This is for an upstairs area in a townhouse. Before the skylight it was very very dark and gloomy because of so few windows. Its literally night and day difference.
These were in our house when we moved in, in 1994. Have performed flawlessly. But is there a way to clean the outside of the windows from the inside? Can they be easily released to open all the way so I can clean them? They are located 30+ feet from the ground and the hose with detergent doesn't do the job.
