The BD-Rs arrived as described. I burned and verified a few backups without issue. I'll have to check back in 10 years.

Tried several brands with mixed success, but I have a 100% success rate with these verbatiums. Great price. 25gb is the lowest $/gig, takes about 40 minutes to burn and verify on my i54400 system.Ive archived about 400 gigs of my family photos, videos and docs. An aquaintance had his data corrupted by ransomware so I decided to make sure that one of my backups is optical RO for my critical data.

I have attempted to burn two different videos using these disc's. I tried playing them on two different players. One disc will play on one of the players but freezes and skips, the same disc will play ok on the other player. The second disc is not recognized by one of the players, the other player knows its rhere but wont play it. I also made two standard BD-R videos using regular Verbatim discs and both play without any problems.

No need to say any more-this is a great and needed product BUT WHY IS VERBATIM SEEMINGLY PHASING IT OUT? NO MORE M-DISC DVDS AND NOW IT SEEMS THE PRINTABLE 25GB M-DISC BLU-RAY ARE NO MORE.
This is the longest lasting most durable storage media to ever exist. It'll take you weeks and weeks to backup all your files since these are just little 23.1gb discs, BUT it's important to do so since hard drives while fast to backup to have many points of failure. And another point, non M-DISC are a ticking time bomb. They will fail depending on luck and storage environment. I noticed this on a few of my cd-r and dvd+r media i've burned since the mid 90s to 2015~. While most still work, i have come across around 1-2% that either don't read at all, or only some of the files will read. Lifespan is random, 5-25 years in these types. This is why i've invested almost 1500 dollars in stock piling m-discs. Kinda crazy but i needed a more longterm almost full proof ... MoreThis is the longest lasting most durable storage media to ever exist. You have to settle with the so called branded "25gb" version of these though, the higher density discs are insane in price and just don't make sense to buy. If you have a file over 23.1gb in size you can rar it into smaller pieces to spread out onto the discs. So thats my simple look on things. Remember to back up in several places and on not only multiple hard drives but also m-discs and store them in fireproof safes in the corner of your basement and if possible put bricks around the safe to visually stealth it and as well add an extra barrier to the fire and heat.
So far theVerbatim M-Discs have burned without a problem on my two LG Blu-Ray burners. They playback without problems on my Sony Blu-Ray player.
I had a very close call and thought that I had lost many years-worth of important files and photos. That literally felt like a boxer-punch to the guts.By a miracle the data was saved. I did research and bought the 100gb BDXL discs - they need a specifically capable burner for their triple layers. I got those discs and the drive from B&H. Worked perfectly. After securing two sets of data on those, I became nervous and decided to go with additional backups, but on dual-layer M-Disc medium. These took eight discs for each set, but that was sixteen burned with no issues and a LOT of peace of mind gained.Look into M-Disc for archival storage and be especially careful of the drive you need for each type. Start now and these 25gb's are fine. I had to play catch-up but ... MoreI had a very close call and thought that I had lost many years-worth of important files and photos. These M-discs are top quality and the best optical archival solution I have found in the market for long-term data storage. I am getting 4x write speed on Mac Big Sur with Verbatim drive. The 25GB size is great if you do not need 100GB. Highly recommended.
I read an article where a person burned a regular BD-R and burned the M-disk version. He buried both under ground for several months. When he retrieved the disks, the regular BD-R was destroyed, while the M-disk version was just dirty. He cleaned the disk, placed it in a drive, and it read the data without error. Don't recommend doing that, but I feel confident that my information is on a reliable media. No burn errors occurred.
Nice heavy duty disks, and they work Great
