I bought these based off of the huge recommendation from Dr. Mike of Renaissance Periodization.I have read some reviews where people canāt really tell in they make a difference or not. Also some say they are over priced. If you have a strong mind muscle connection these will advance your training big time which make it absolutely worth the price. I never realized how much my grip was limiting me until I started training with these. Even when the grip isnāt being used and is laying flat in my palm for pressing movements that adds great stability and a sense of security. These definitely do what they say. Immediate improvement to my Deadlift performance now that grip is no longer the limiting factor. Also very helpful for other pulling exercises where the elbows may need a break from grip-related tendonitis without stopping the whole workout. That said, they aren't five stars for a couple reasons. One, they get uncomfortable quickly when you build up your first sweat. As I workout in an outdoor home gym in the desert, this happens pretty quickly. Two, the right side has a tendency to slide around on my wrist a bit between exercises, which requires some readjustment between each set. These are relatively minor inconveniences though, on balance with what they do. Not only would I recommend, but we ordered another pair for my wife as well.

I still don't want to rely too much on them. The only area I don't love as much is the Velcro wrist strap are quite stiff. It means if I don't want to tighten all the way, I have to use more force the Velcro to close halfway. It also makes between sets a bit cumbersome to loosen/turn around the wrist. All in all it's a worthwhile investment.

Iām ~160lb with a 6ā3 wingspan and have been weight training for about a year and a half. I was beginning to get to the point in my training where rows and pull downs were just destroying my wrists. I could no longer hold the weight long enough to get (as Dr. Mike from the RP YouTube channel calls it) a deep stretch and hold for maximum hypertrophy. If youāre in a similar position to me-Just Get āEm-Iāve had the Versa Pros for over two weeks now (I train pulls 2 times a week, I went with the black with a gold strap and they look baller) and Iāve never felt more in control of my reps and have noticed a substantial increase in stability and tension in the target muscles. I do wish the grip/strap portion was tad longer just because I love using them even on machines ...Ā MoreIām ~160lb with a 6ā3 wingspan and have been weight training for about a year and a half. Iāve only had these for about 10 days. So Iāve only used them maybe 4-5 times. Iām not a huge lifter. Iād used standard straps in college days. Now⦠Iām old, have kids and a job. I was starting to have elbow pain from these āfull body routinesā that Iāve been doing twice a week. I used old school straps which annoyed me. Then I tried a cheaper competitor⦠they were fine but kinda stiff and not that easy to wrap the second one on the bar. But it did cure my elbow pain and free me to be much more comfortable doing pull ups the same day as RDLs and Bulgarians. With that in mind: I canāt say much about Verdaās durability. What I can say is that they work just as advertised. I got them because it looked easier to get the second hand on. That is absolutely true. They work ...Ā MoreIāve only had these for about 10 days. Maybe a little less easy off⦠cuz theyāre so sticky. If dropping the weight is important to you, just pay attention. The surprising benefit of Versa over the cheaper one I used is comfort. I put āem on loose as versa says and they work and are surprisingly comfortable for the weights I use. Maxing around 50 lbs in each hand. For nowš¤I am super happy with the purchase. I hope this helps.
Summary: They're a product with an unusual perk: they let you get more value out of membership to gyms with worse equipment.I've had the product for just over a week. Some of the adhesive on one of them is peeling, but the stitching is strong and nothing has even come close to tearing, even after a few workouts of heavy duty use. They look good, and they work. To be honest, I don't care that much about the adhesive at the edges of the stitching. If you do, you should probably be aware. Here's why these are such a game changer for me over wrist straps:I live in the suburbs and drive to the local LA Fitness in order to exercise. LA Fitness, like a lot of commercial gyms, buys cheaper machines when they can, resulting in a lot of "EZ Grip" handles that are secured ...Ā MoreSummary: They're a product with an unusual perk: they let you get more value out of membership to gyms with worse equipment.I've had the product for just over a week. If you do, you should probably be aware. Here's why these are such a game changer for me over wrist straps:I live in the suburbs and drive to the local LA Fitness in order to exercise. LA Fitness, like a lot of commercial gyms, buys cheaper machines when they can, resulting in a lot of "EZ Grip" handles that are secured with little more than adhesive. It's extremely common for the adhesive to wear away over time and for the grips on these machines to turn semi-freely when used as a result. A bad grip means your power production suffers, too.Versa Gripps totally changed the game for me. Wrist straps are great for bars, but they don't do diddly for somebody trying to hold a machine that rotates as you hold it. Versa Gripps *do*.I can load a ton of weight and get the deep stretches on the machines that would previously fry my grip almost immediately. If you are interested in hypertrophy training in a commercial gym (that might be cutting some costs in their equipment selection...) then I recommend this product as enthusiastically as I know how.
I love how the gripps have improved my lifts so that I can lift the weight that I am able to without the worry that my grip is going to give out and I'll drop a weight on my foot. They're a little small, though. I chose the extra small after checking the Versa Gripps size chart. My right wrist is just about 6" and the left is under 6", but these are a little small. They fit, but I feel like they don't turn on my wrist the way the company says they should. Perhaps they are just very stiff because they're new. Unfortunately, I didn't check the return policy before I purchased these, so I can't return for a larger size. The policy says you can only return them if the package is unopened, which is not practical since a) the package was not sealed when I received it and ...Ā MoreI love how the gripps have improved my lifts so that I can lift the weight that I am able to without the worry that my grip is going to give out and I'll drop a weight on my foot. I was sad that there was a problem with delivery and it was automatically returned. Their functionality is world-class, so to speak, and both models can be washed in the washing machine without any damage thanks to the strong synthetic material. The Extreme had better abrasion resistance than the Pro thanks to the double stitching on the main pad and the end of the nylon belt being covered with a logo band. The nylon belt on the Pro is slightly thinner than the Extreme, making it more comfortable on the wrist, and this feature is why I prefer the Pro over the Extreme. The reason I wanted to use a new product was because the soft part of the Velcro was worn out. If product development progresses in the future, I recommend replacing Velcro with 3M's product, dual lock, etc., or switching to the single prong method. The functionality and durability of the main pad have improved from 10 points to 10+n points, so I praise it so much that it is practically meaningless to mention.I wish your company prosperity and great limited edition product launches.
The Versa Pro are perfect! And for me a āfitness product of the year award.ā Iāve got some beat up wrists/hands - crashes, surgeries - you get the point. These are āwayā better and more comfortable than cheaper knockoffs on Amazon (donāt waste your money on those) or simple lifting straps (which do work fine for deadlifting, but the Versa Pros are more comfortable and more versatile). I've had for about 6 weeks and used them for about 20 heavy load pulling workouts. I tried them rotated for pushing, but does help me at all... seems to be more of a distraction for me personally. I bought these for pulling anyway and once I reworked them they do work good. I tried a bit loose so they can rotate as suggested, but when loose enough to do that, they do not work as well for pulling as they have too much slop. I tightened and that works better for pulling, but then they do not rotate... could just be me. The Velcro straps could be longer and repositioned. If the loop (fuzzy) side of the Velcro was sewn more at the palm instead of the side, and then the strap was longer, there would be 2 positives to that: 1. The longer strap would not constantly pull out the metal rectangular ring every time you take them off. 2. The bulkiness of the 2 pieces from secured Velcro would be positioned at the flat of the wrist, not the tighter radius side of the wrist. As they are made now, the bulky 2 parts of the secured velcro do not bend or curve well at the side of the wrist, and I think that is why I read complaints about them not rotating easy. When the straps come out the metal ring (like 95% when taking off), it's a hassle to always have to push it back through because you need to do this when it's almost on your wrist already. I added a stop at the very end of hook end of the velcro so it does not come out of the ring. While that works, it leaves just enough room to get my hand through. If the strap was longer, it could stay within the ring and have a big enough loop to comfortably pass your hand through. I also added a piece of nylon strapping after the stop I made and can now easily pull it tight. With a 10% discount I paid $72 for the pro. I would have paid $150 if they were as good as all the reviews said how great they are, but for all the reasons above I rate it a 3 out of 5. I saw some reviews where the originals were as good or better... wished I would have tried those at less cost.
