Just as good as fresh ginger. I often use it on fish and chopping ginger is normally fiddly as you have to peel it first and its very knobbly. This you just dollop the quantity you need and hey presto instant ginger flavour which adds heat to your dish
Have been using this for years and it is a dependable ginger to pop into any dish but especially good for stir fries. Occasionally I prefer fresh ginger e.g. in a Japanese Itsu-style fresh sauce where I like it really finely grated but otherwise this is just great for most things.
Makes cooking with ginger easy and efficient without waste.
It's not chopped. It's Grated.
Quick and easy good to have as a back up or if you are in a hurry. Good flavour.
Use this on fresh salmon with soy sauce and garlic. Jar last a long time and might be more economical than fresh ginger.
Just a teaspoonful gives good ginger flavour, but there are stringy bits which get in my teeth!
