Basically it's a great product and does the job with hand raising birds. BUT, there is something in the mix that shows as small black specks when water is added. They are sometimes large enough to block a #18 crop needle which causes some issues when trying to feed a very small bird. It would better without this component.

I have reared several parrots now and ive found Vetafarm Neocare is the parrots choice. They eat well and grow to healthy and happy birds. The instructions are easy to understand and value for money.
Started to feed 2 day old cockatoo with sparks electrovet (all I had on hand) for 2 days, then on to neocare parrot hand rearing mix. E T has not had any of the usual problems, and is very healthy. It is easy to mix, easy to feed. I would recommend it , even for beginners. Thanks.

Great formula for baby birds. My baby birds grow up very healthy and fluffy. And there is no syringe gliding problems in this particular formula and that's the other main reason I always buy neo care coz suring glides smoothly with this formula.

This product is excellent I care for orphan wild birds and this product has saved so many little birds from starving, they accept it readily and it is amazing how they thrive on this product, giving them a good start to being released back into the wild. I will also use it on my own birds to help in the rearing process, couldn't get a better product. I always have it stocked in case emergencies arrive
