After the first cut I made using this saw I was very excited and happy because the material cut was a 105mm full steel cylinder, medium hard, and the blade was cool after the job. The motor block was just around 40 degC. Fantastic, in my judgement. The second cut was finished in the next 15 to 20 minutes and that was also to my satisfaction, given the really heavy job at hand.I attempted the third cut on the same stock and have realized that something went wrong. The grinding noise told me that. It became louder and louder and then, I noticed the blade was out of alignment. I started panicking and the motor kept working until it stalled. At that moment the blade was warped by several centimeters out of the plane. It survived so much abuse and it is still working.I would only recommend replacing of the half-nut vice with something better or an improved version of it.I did not see spare blades listed on this website. I believe, with respect to my experience described, it is a very tough product worth investing in it.I recommend the machine.

I was impressed with the quality of the saw. It throw out a few sparks while cutting but the cut is cold to the touch . The finish on the cut is just like I machined with the mill. For a quarter of the price of a well know brand it cuts just as good if not better. I'm very happy with it. Hopefully it stands up to much more cuts.

I am really impressed by the cutting performance. However, the clamping unit and is scale for angle is less than impressive. In fact it’s really bad. I’ll have to make my own modifications to be able to see the scale properly. I’ll put a mirror at the rear of the saw showing the scale from the “other side”.Having said all of this, this saw is excellent.

I have wanted a cold saw since I was 18 but they were always way out of my price range This one is inexpensive and works as expected. It is a bit lightly built as far as the blade guard but that was to be expected given the price. As far as the motor and drive, which is the important part, it works great. Ironically, I have not needed it yet for a metal project, but it sliced through a couple of 2 x 4s like a hot knife through butter. NOTE, the motor winds up slowly with a sort of delayed action. This is NOT a problem with the machine. The blade is gear driven so it takes a bit of time for the motor to bring it up to speed. This is intended by the manufacturer. I work with all sorts of machines for a living, so I recognize how it is supposed to work.
The item was delivered quickly and was undamaged. It works extremely well and cuts through steel like butter, there are no sparks and the cut leaves no burrs. The only thing I don’t like about it is the clamping mechanism, it’s made of thin material and does not hold the metal being cut firmly. It’s a shame as the other parts of the saw are good quality and work beautifully.
The Vevor 14” chop saw is excellent value and cuts as expected. One small thing - the work top is hollow (about 1.5mm). Thus short cutoffs are not cut at 90 degrees vertically. A shim under the stock is my workaround. This is a common fault with this type of device. Adjustable support under the plate could be a solution. Cheers Don.
As the title says. The saw is decent. It has a slow start, which is a pro and con. It reduces draw on generators if mobile use is needed. And a con, it delays your task. The big issue is the cutting blade. Blew 90% of the teeth off in the first day of use. Purchased a princess auto blade, and its good to go. Recommend Vevor finds a better blade to include. Id spend a few extra bucks to ensure it functioned as expected out of the box.So. Cheap saw, crap blade. 4 stars as the price offsets the blade somewhat.
For 40 years I've been using abrasive disc metal drop saws.Got frustrated with the inaccuracy of cuts, so after a lot of research and speaking with the steel pros I bit the bullet anddecided to invest in a cold cut.Further research showed the Vevor product to be the best option, for value and reputation. It’s quick and deadly accurate.I need various sizes of steel tube cut to exact lengths. This does the job admirably.Soft start, low speed, and high torque via a gear box. It’s not my first Vevor product and it won't be my last.AAA+ 10/10.
Item was packaged well and arrived in good condition . It is heavy , but this is good for repetitive cutting .It is loud , but quick cut times are the benefit . Initial cuts were as advertised , clean accurate and cold . However it does start to throw sparks , and the cuts were hot . Change of cutting method to more pressure after initial touch of the blade has made it better .Trying to use the vise for 45 deg cuts is hopeless and requires additional clamping . DO NOT TRY TO FREEHAND CUT !!!Plenty of power and consistent cuts are easily completed .
I bought this as a gift and when they opened it up, they noticed food and drink on the Styrofoam surrounding the saw, when they pulled it out, it was an another brand completely and scratched up. they decided to try it anyway and the blade just wobbled dangerously even though everything looked tight. When they were able to get back to me so we could return it, it was too late for any money refund. Now I'm stuck with it
VEVOR Abrasive Chop Saw, 14"/355mm , 2300W 3600RPM Steel Cutting Machine
Our abrasive chop saw uses a thicker vise with wave patterns for more friction and clamping tightness than conventional ones. Our saw blade clamping is processed by multiple special processes, which fits better with the saw blades and wobbles less when cutting and can better achieve the cutting effect you want. The 80-tooth saw blade can withstand large grinding pressure, drastically reduce the chance of segment breakage, and is especially suitable for fine grinding and cutting with high smoothness.
