This is a well-made knife, but it lacks a full tang (metal of the blade extending to the end of the handle). This isn't that big a factor unless you're cutting a lot of really tough stuff. I like the lightness and sharpness of this knife, and its size makes it perfect as my main knife, bigger than a paring knife and smaller than a typical chef's knife. I also like the angle of the handle.
