A fantastic knife that is a great size to carry and a very handy and durable one at that. Holding the knife is comfortable in any angle to hold. The many features are convenient at every day life and camping, everyone should have this, and even has the ability to add additional Victorinox tools inside of it.

This is my every day carry pocket knife, it has a lot to offer. The only thing i would change is spiral wine opener. Thats not anymore from this time. Or give the people a change to choose what they can put there. Thats why im giving it a solid 4stars. Ive also buyed one for my wife.

The Huntsman is similar to the models I have carried for 50 years. It maintains the beautiful Swiss quality, but it feels more difficult to open and harder to work with—perhaps it's just that I'm getting old, but this is virtually impossible for me to open without assistance. How can I enjoy what I know to be a beautiful pocket knife when I can't even open it?
This pocketknife is the perfect size and design, in my opinion, for everyday carry and use, in both the urban and wild environments. With two blades, one can keep the bigger blade clean and sharp for food prep and the like, while the smaller blade can take on heavier chores like whittling and general duty knife use. The bigger blade also makes for a better jam spreader. Crucial when making bannock around the fire! The saw is perfect for notching branches for smaller bushcraft projects, where precision counts. It's sharp and hungry! Also handy for cutting lumber, plywood, wallboard, plastics, and much more in urban situations. Even some ropes are better cut with the saw than the blades! Super handy tool. Lifting hot pot and kettle bails from the fire, pulling out hot oven racks, carrying heavy items with thin handles, opening and lifting drawers, covers, and retail boxes with those annoying locking flaps. Unlimited uses! Even the corkscrew is great for pulling apart stubborn knots. This is a great tool for anyone who wants to be prepared for just about any situation.
23 years I Have been owning a huntsman, it was my first Victorinox. Infact mine is an old version that doesn't have the hook!It still functions, never had a problem with it. The only thing that ever happened was, that the small clip blade slightly chipped, but after it fell from my hand with the blade opened from 3 storeys high!I wouldn't trade it for anything else, with it's ruined scales now and all these years of scuffs, I still love it like a little brother.Easy to use and very sharp. Great anti-rust material. Easy to clean. Some warm soapy water and a brush. I have been using my huntsman for over 10 years now and this is the one constant throughout all my ventures into the wild - be it the dense hot jungles of India, the Nordic woodlands and mountains or the unforgiving Himalayan hikes.The most useful tools for me personally have been the knife, saw, scissors, can opener and awl. Recently i have upgraded the fireant kit to this tool and augmented its functionality.The testament of my recommendation for this product is that i have gifted it to most of my hiking buddies and everyone loves it.Suggestions - bring back the blue colour version - though most of us have custom scales, blue would be a good colour for wilderness explorations as it is easier to find.Please never retire it!
I bought this as a Valentine gift for my hubby. I was glad it got delivered 2 days before the holiday. I am giving it a 1 star because they gave me an open/used knife. I can tell because the opening area was suppose to be glued, but instead it was taped. And when I opened it, the flops where put back the wrong way, plus it has a glue residue. That was the hint it was a used. Then, when I examine the Knife, the where finger prints everywhere and some scratches. What a disappointment.
I needed a multi-tool knife for general use and for travel (when scissors or a bottle opener are required!). This one is perfect for my needs, and arrived within a couple of days of placing my order. It's made to a high quality, everything works, and I expect it will deliver years of handy use.
