Victorinox Swiss Tool MXBS Multi-Tool with Nylon Pouch - Black

Excellent product, well-made. Mail package from Lamnia and shipping was nice. Not used the tool extensively yet, but seems sturdy and no match for my edc. I feel satisfied with my purchase.

Awesome Tool!

This is a great full size multi stool that is elegant and functional. The chisel is a very handy implement and the pliers are smooth out of the box. The burnished steel is awesome. Swiss Knife Shop is great to deal with and super customer service. Highly recommended!

First, this is my first Victorinox Swiss Tool. I've also purchased couple of Victorinox's Swiss Army knives. I was always a fan since I was a kid. Next, I've also recently started my everyday carry (e-d-c) collection including knives and multi-tool. I'm enjoying this new hobby. I wish I started sooner. Regarding their latest Swiss Tool MXBS, it is a very well made tool which Victorinox products are well known around the world for being of excellent quality. Just a brief background, again I'm not a professional technician, craftsmen, or tradesmen etc. I'm just an ordinary, everyday person who enjoys pocketknives, multitools and e-d-c in general. I use it for the on-the-go, in the office, outdoors and in or around my home. In my humble opinion, I like the one-handed open of the large blade and seat belt cutter vs. using both hand with the traditional fingernail nick. Overall, the Swiss Tool MXBS is sturdy and robust for whatever task both light and heavy duty. (Remember, like all multitools, they'll do the job it's designed to do but, it won't withstand abuse.) I like the black coating for that tactical or "tacti-cool" look plus, the extra rust-resistance which I understand even Victorinox stainless are already very rust-resistant with regular maintenance, cleaning, and care. It has the bevy of tools, (26 tools total including the blade and belt cutter), we've known and love from Victorinox Swiss Army Knives including the heavy-duty pliers/wire cutters. I know some would like a saw also incorporated into this black version but, I'm okay not having it. I can always buy the other models. I've also purchased the Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit MX with clip along with the Swiss Tool MXBS. The Swiss Tool MXBS has a good balance of weight (10.4 oz.) and length (4.5 inches). The nylon sheath that is included is sturdy with Velcro fasteners where you can either carry on your belt both horizontally (for some nylon "battle/tactical" belts depending on the width.) and vertically (for either leather or again a nylon tactical belt). I'm non-military but, I tried attaching it to the outer part of my backpack. It seems to be MOLLE compatible as well. When selecting a Swiss Tool and/or VSAK, remember to 1) To look at the tools that you need. 2) The purpose of what the tool you'll be using it for. 3) the weight and length if those are also important to you. However, if you just like collecting then buy whatever Swiss Tool or VSAK that catches your eye or what interests you. It's a great gift for your significant other, that special guy or gal, family or friend, or to purchase for yourself. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase too. Yes, I recommend this product.

Last Tool You’ll Ever Buy

Hands down, best multi-tool I have ever owned. Fit and finish, durability, aesthetic, tool action, just everything…scary good. You are NOT going to find a better one out there. Until very recently, these were only available to the Australian Defence Force, after Victorinox won the contract to supply them. If you’re not sure about what your next (and last) tool should be, make it this one. I’m buying a second one to double tap. Also, check out the Victorinox OD Belt Sheath VN408224US2 for it. Can’t beat the tandem.

My go to everyday belt tool!

I love the curves feel of this tool in my hands. I switched from a LEATHERMAN with few regrets. I wish the scissors was larger and that the knife blade had a sharp point. But over all, a great tool.

Touch of elegance

I am impressed with the quality of the tools and that all, except the pliers, are accessible without having to open the pliers. The knife is very sharp right out of the box. This is a great tool and looks great...sort of elegant!

Victorinox Spirit X

I am very impressed with the quality of this tool. I have a Leatherman Wave, a Charge with the 154cm blade, a SuperTool with carbide cutters, the Squirt an original Leatherman and the orange medium sized one I cant recall the name. With in the first few minutes of handling the Spirit x there is absolutely no comparison of the difference in fit and finish quality. Dont get me wrong Leatherman makes great quality tools. The difference is the Swiss have perfected fit and finish on everything they make. Buy anything Victorinox and you will not be disappointed!
