This is an excellent knife. Extremely sharp. Comfortable handle. It is well suited to many tasks and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the various design aspects. The only negative is the sheath. I know Felix and others have done videos to fix the issue of the knife rattling. But why should we need an aftermarket fix done by ourselves? It’s a minor annoyance that can hopefully be remedied. Gerber and Cold Steel can make perfect sheaths so I would expect better from Victorinox. However, I won’t mark the overall score down as I’d still recommend the knife and would buy again. As I said, the knife itself is excellent and my new first choice for camping etc

This is what an outdoor knife should be. It’s not made to egress an airplane or chop firewood, it’s a well designed knife for cutting and it cuts VERY WELL. Bring an axe/hatchet and a folding saw for that stuff. I absofreakinlutely love this knife….everything about it even the sheath. Felix shows us on YT how to take out the rattle they have new. The process is very easy.

A great knife on a budget! Functional and a hard working knife for all bushcraft tasks. My knife is heavily used daily for carving, battening, fire lighting and the edge holds up well with only one touch up with a stone in over two weeks. At first I was a little concerned about durability due to the very thin edge and tip, however after quite a bit of hard use including stuff I did just to see how the blade would hold up (like batoning and even light chopping), it really exceeded my expectations, no damage to the knife at all, and it held it’s edge really, really well. Then I resharpened it used it quite a bit more. While there are definitely a variety of scratches and scrapes in the finish of the blade, including the top where I used it to strike a ferro rod, otherwise it held up beautifully.Like others, my problem is with the sheath. The Victorinox Venture is a very good knife. Feels good in the hand. Flat ground blade makes a good slicer. Substituted a leather sheath for the mediocre factory plastic sheath.
I spent about 3 weeks messing around with this one before I settled on how I felt about it. It works really well for most things I do around the camp site. What holds it back from getting the chefs kiss is the loose sheathe & the standard version not having a bow drill divot. I really wanted the red version. It synonymous with Victorinox but it’s only offered as a stripped down copy. Why didn’t all colors have the divot? Why is the sheathe so loose? Idk. Just seems like bad decision making but the overall design is really good but I lean towards grabbing my mora whenever I go outside.
Excellent knife at an affordable price. Very sharp out of the box. It has great proportions and it feels great in the hand. The blade is full tang and is not to thick or too thin. This is the bushcraft/camp knife I've been looking for!

Initial impression of the regular Venture is that this knife is of good quality for the price. The size and flat grind of the blade is perfect imho. Grip very comfortable/natural for my hand. Will purchase another one in different color…..not interested in the pro model.Sheath nicer than Mora’s…..purchased this knife based on Felix Immler’s excellent review (love watching his videos).
I was very disappointed in this knife its not worthy of the name Victorinox unless you have lowered your standards greatly.it is cheap feeling in my hand and the sheath does not fit it well, it rattles...makes noise.
