Bluetooth, amarvel for wireless data transmission but on this device the Bluetooth is so terrible, that I can't get it to connect if I'm in the back of a 26' trailer and having the device up front, I have to walk to within 10 feet to connect. The stats and data provided are great, I like being able to program how many amp hours of battery and different voltage settings.

Bought this to monitor usage and SOC for my lifepo4 battery in my RV. It does that, but has a few problems. First, the bluetooth range is about 4 feet. Any further away and it can't connect. 2nd, if you disconnect the battery, it has to be recalibrate at full state of charge or you no longer get the state of charge info. And lastly, the history function only keeps track for each session. As soon as you walk 4 feet away and lose the BT connection, history starts over. So, it works for going to check current SOC if I go outside and stand next to the battery and if it was calibrated since last time battery was disconnected (which is between every trip in winter). Saves you from having to wire to an interior display, but at the cost of functionality and convenience.

Should have included battery temp sensor with the shunt. The unit was easy to set up but requires using the serial number to initially set up the Bluetooth connection. Was a pain to find it after the shunt had already been installed.
I wish all companies were as helpful as Blue Marine was. Thank you very much. Part was easy to install and was the right part. I didn’t want to make another 2 1/2 hour trip to visit the store due to a time crunch.

Works great!! Bluetooth range is pretty good: 15-20ft, even through the battery compartment.
this really only has one single function - to monitor power going into a battery... it has so much potential to do so much more, but at this price point, not for me. I really like the app and the details from the shunt but it is way overpriced for its single function. It does NOT connect via Bluetooth to their GX products. The Bluetooth range is really bad.... maybe 3 meters. There is no way to set it up to "just" monitor voltage and amps... you can use it to monitor voltage and amps but you have to set it up like you are connected to a battery, with "AH" and "SOC" and other stuff. This would be an amazing production if: *IF* the shunt connected to the Cerbo GX with just bluetooth and NO WIRES *IF* the shunt could be set to "just" monitor volts and amps (no battery ...
