My dishes make me happy. I mean it. When I have my table set with the different patterns it just looks so beautiful - they mix & match so well - I can't help but smile. I saw these dishes at my sister-in-laws home and fell in love with them. I stared at them at Macy's every time I went there and finally decided that I had to have them. They are our everyday dishes because why wouldn't you want to make every meal feel special and like I said they are so cheery to look at that even after four years they still make me happy.

This china is cheerful but simple enough to suit a formal dinner with company. I get compliments every time I have someone over, whether for lunch, coffee, or dinner. I've been collecting slowly since college (with much help from my mother who loves buying these sweet pieces). A store clerk described this pattern as "transitional," meaning it could work for everyday or as a formal set, and since it is the only set I own, I do indeed use it for both. I do not think I will ever get tired of it--I haven't for almost ten years--and I think it works at any life stage. But even better than that is the fact that I think it will last just as long. I've had no cracks or breaks despite drops and mishaps. My fiance likes the pattern, too, so it's not too feminine.

I debated about the other patterns, but finally settled on this one, because it was a total change from my old dishes, which were Noritake Keltcraft Eastfair with a blue floral border. I used those dishes for everyday dining for about 20 years - and even though they are still in great condition - it was time for a change! Now I use the French Garden dishes for my everyday dishes. I love the sunny yellow & green colors - they seem so perky in the morning for breakfast. I have had them for a month and grow more attached to them every day. Just prior to this purchase, I had bought a set of Pfaltzgraff Patio Garden. I loved the bright colors - but they were so large and HEAVY! They were Earthenware and even though they were thoroughly dry when I put them away after washing in the dishwasher, they retained moisture that seeped out between the plates! Every time I picked up a plate, it left wet spots on the plate underneath! There are only two of us in the family so I don't use all the dishes quickly - so I felt the water would stagnate. I returned those dishes and came back to the quality of porcelain dishes. I am so glad I did. These are a joy to use. The glaze is smooth, they stack evenly, the weight of each piece is "just right". Even though these dishes are a LOT more expensive than the Pfaltzgraff, after my experience with the earthenware, I feel the higher cost of porcelain is worth it. You get what you pay for. I expect these will last me 20 years.
I have French Garden dinnerware and Manoir. I Love the ability to mix and match sets to meet any occasion! These patterns always present a beautiful and inviting table! It is durable as well as practical! I am currently looking at complementary pieces for both sets! Guests always complement on our French Garden settings!
I was soooo excited to get these dishes. Loved the Country French look and the varied patterns.Well, they were delivered and 1 hour later, returned to the store.I don't know what the hype is about these dishes. They look old and tired and absolutely not a new and fresh look. I was totally surprised at my reaction that I REALLY didn't like them.For the price (definitely NOT a bargain price and MUCH more expensive than high end dinnerware) - I really thought they'd have a more refined, handcrafted look rather than a cookie-cutter, flower decal look.Did not like these. Would not recommend at all.
My husband and I registered for this collection for our wedding and are so happy with our decision! The set looks beautiful in our kitchen. It's nice to be able to mix the different pattern selection as you wish. We registered for a different pattern on the dinner, salad, b & b plates, and soup bowls. I love the selection of serving pieces available and the porcelain is just beautiful. These are made in Germany and have a wonderful shape to the dishes. If you order the canisters you may be disappointed to know they are made in China and have a more stone feel. Otherwise just a lovely set of dishes. We hope they will last for years!

they offer 5 different patterns within V&B's French Garden! i am mixing 4 of them on the table together and love the final result - so much more interesting and fun than just using a single pattern. circles, squares, fruits, latices!the china looks delicate but feels substantial, and all the pieces are beyond beautiful, so much so - i should get a photo loaded. the canisters are to die for, by the way.
I’ve been using this set of dishes for about 10 years. my kids bought me something for every holiday. Not a chip or crack. always looks amazing when I set the table for guests or just lunch.
