After searching and searching my husband and I found a pattern we both like. Villeroy & Boch Old Luxe pattern is not too trendy or splashy, but a classic that will last for years. After all, the pattern was first produced in Luxembourgh in the 1700s and is still going strong.

Even though we're furnishing a house in the mountains, I like the Old Luxembourg pattern.
This china is very pretty and the quality is excellent.The shape of the pieces are another matter. The salad plates and the dinner plates seem smaller than my other sets of china. Also, the center area of the plate is small and the rim area rather wide.I can't imagine serving a hearty meal on this china. This one will be reserved for lighter meals.
I love this for my rice. My family love it, too. I recommend this to my family and friends.
This bowl is perfect when I need more room than the flatter soup bowl provides.
I had previously bought four of these fabulous bowls and found that I used them for a myriad of uses beyond just rice. Everyday I use for cereal, veggies or ice cream. Perfect!

I simply love this!!!I got it about thirteen years ago, when I selected it for my engagement. The pattern is a little bit oldfashioned and reminds me of older dishes. You can use it yearround and it is always pretty on your dinnertable. It has a classic form and a nice, blue pattern, which goes with every meal very well and the cream color accentuates the little flowers, strewn on it.I use it every single day.It holds up very well, even when my kids were little, I never ever had any problem.I would recommend this dinnerset for daily use. You have to enjoy your dishes and use them!I would always buy a dinnerset from Villeroy & Boch, which is Vitro porcelain again!
