I'm still working through my 22oz canister of the "old" formulation... indeed old, because I had ordered it back in February 2018, the day after Sarah announced it! And then I tried it a couple of times, and after choking it down, it sat untouched for the next 16 months. But lately, after finally committing to a strict AIP elimination in late May and trying to incorporate as many nutrient-dense foods as possible each day, I knew it was time to give it another go, but I just knew there HAD to be a way that I could enjoy it, because I certainly wasn't going to force myself to eat anything I didn't truly enjoy. I'm not sure how similar the new formulation is vs. the old as far as taste (I know Vital Proteins has advertised the new formulation as having an "improved" taste), but, here's what I've found for the old formulation if anyone else has been struggling through it like I was: for smoothies, in addition to a fruit base, add lemon or lime juice + zest (of like... at least half a lemon/lime, maybe even a whole), frozen tamarind pulp (not a dealbreaker if you can't find it, but it would probably be in the International Foods section of your local freezer aisle if your store stocks it), and fresh herbs (I've been enjoying mine with cilantro!)... for me, they have been SUPER additions for neutralizing the taste. The sour acidic tanginess of the citrus and tamarind, plus the brightness of the cilantro (or whatever herb you have on hand... flat leaf parsley, basil, or mint might all be good!) reeeally neutralize the earthiness. For my fruit base, I've been using frozen bananas (always -- for texture), frozen mangos, and frozen blueberries/cherries (but I mix up the mango/berries for other fruits depending on what I have in the freezer), and today I even threw in some fresh avocado which yielded an amaaazing gelato-like texture! Plus water and full-fat coconut milk, up to 2 cups of liquid total depending on whether you want to sip or spoon your smoothie, and a few ice cubes. I usually use 2 scoops of the Collagen Veggie Blend per smoothie. NOW, it has become a cool, smooth summertime treat that I actually look forward to in the mornings. My brain really enjoys a big hit of veggies/fruits early in the day, and this does not disappoint -- when crafted thoughtfully! (Tip -- blend all other ingredients first, taste-test to make sure it's zesty enough to your liking, and then add your 1-2 scoops of Collagen Veggie Blend at the VERY end.) Who knows, maybe I'll get adventurous and try it in an AIP-compliant savory dish or sauce soon!

Everyone asks me what I am doing to look so young, I say I have take this for years now. Nails are healthy, hair is super thick, skin per my aestitician is great. I just mix one scoop in a small glass of almond milk and drink it like a shot. It's my health shot!! Love that it has the collagen, AAs, hyalauronic acid and the greens!! That is the added bonus! Also love coconut vanilla. Do try if you have not already, this product really includes everything you need. Total winner!

When I read a review where someone is complaining about taste I always wonder Y they don't add a SugarFree drink mix. ? This tastes good mixed with pina colada flavor. SugarFree drink mix seems like a simple solution. My taste buds like it cold but my digestive system prefers it at room temperature. My digestive system usually wins.

I've been using the Beauty Greens for 2 weeks now and I love it! I put 8 oz of almond milk in the blender with frozen fruit (from Wegmans, mixed berry) and my 2 scoops of Beauty Greens. And it honestly tastes like Matcha - is the best way to describe the flavor. I read the reviews before buying and seemed somewhat skeptical. I can only speak from experience, and I will say I've had great results with my hair, skin, energy and DEFINITELY DEFINITELY my digestion!! Before my smoothie every morning I also take my apple cider vinegar gummies - I've gotten into a really good routine with this two products and so far am loving all the positive results.
I put two scoops in a small shaker bottle with unsweetened almond milk, a little bit of water and a packet of stevia and shake it up. I add 3 ice cubes, so since it's cold it takes a good amount of shaking to blend, but I don't mind. It tastes delicious to me. Like Amazing Grass chocolate greens. It's only lightly sweet, which is nice if you don't like too sweet like a lot of protein powders. I have this for breakfast and it's actually pretty filling/satiating.I take it for my knees, and really enjoy the taste/texture of this over the plain one. When I'm drinking the plain one I just think about how I'm consuming powered cow joints and ligaments because the mild taste and gel-like texture just really feel like I'm tasting what I'm eating. At home, I can eat lots of vegetables, I wanted this to help out when traveling, on rushed mornings, or when I just need the extra nutrient density. The new formula is very carrot heavy, and I'm just not willing to pay that much for carrots, which are already so easy to eat, and not as nutrient dense as greens and berries. The ingredients in this formula are great but I would consider other options. The size of the container is extremely small for the value plus mine was only filled a little above halfway. Personally, I don't have the stomach to drink this stuff straight so I'll try and add a bit of pineapple or cranberry juice as a sweetner but it's still a struggle to get down.
I've tried 5 different products from them and they've all been great but this one is absolutely terrible. The taste and smell is like fish food and garbage, no coconut or vanilla at all. I usually I have a tough stomach and if it's something healthy I can usually muscle through it but this turned my stomach quickly. I only had a half serving in a smoothie and it was inedible. Really wasteful but had to throw the entire thing away after that.
A positive impact on my skin and nails within 4 to six months. Reduced the appearance of sag, laugh lines and neck. The jury is still out on the impact on my hair. Use it in my coffee & protein shakes. I like the taste and appreciate the low sugar and other ingredients. Because I use this product daily I wish I could get quantity and container value.
