Now as far as the bells and whistles, the Ascent series has an App called The Perfect Blend and it allows the machine to do what the A3500 does but you won’t see it on the front of the blender but it will show you in real time how the blender changes speeds when called for..so cool! Anyway bottom line I’m extremely happy with my choice as I said, and Wayfair shipped it Very Quickly. I’m highly recommending the Vitamix.

Used it for humus, green smoothies, soups, desserts, dips, puree.......thats just in a month. Il be honest the reputation for Vitamix being the best is justified, at least for us thus far.Its an investment for sure but as my wife went vegan over a year ago, even im asking for green stuff these days. Il never admit she won though! If you are serious about having an all round machine to aid in your health journey and expanding your food horizons.......do it, you wont be sorry.

Always wanted a Vitamix Blender to add to my cooking arsenal and recently pulled the trigger and ordered the newest one, and I’m so excited that I did. I’ve always been very reluctant despite knowing it was a fantastic machine (having used others) simply because of the plastic container. I’m very health conscious and the idea of plastic is off-putting to me. But then… I realized they made a stainless steel container and it swayed my decision, and I was thrilled!! Now I wish they did sell it with your preferred choice of container so I had to pay an additional hefty cost direct from Vitamix to get the stainless container I wanted, but it didn’t disappoint. I’m looking forward to making fantastic meals with my new Vitamix and trying all the features it has to offer. I do hope they make additional accessories for this model in the future in lieu of rebuying an entire machine. I’m old school and appreciate things that are built to last and Vitamix stands behind that with the added bonus of made in the USA! That’s a win in my book. So cheers 🥂 to all my future glorious meals using my new new Vitamix. 😊 And a big Thank you to Macy’s for making this a quick and easy ordering process!

Good, but not as good as my old 5200
16 December 2021

I purchased the 2300 because I was excited at using it with the Vitamix Food Processor attachment, too. My old food processor was not doing so well, and I was impressed with the solid build and quality of Vitamix products. So I was predisposed to really like this product. I did enjoy having a count-up timer right in front of me, and I also appreciated that the shorter container would have fit under the cabinet, if I stored it there. Unfortunately, there were several differences from my old Vitamix 5200 that led me to return it. First, whenever I started blending something, the entire thing would explode upward and coat the inside of the container all the way up to the lid. This meant that I had to scrape it down to get everything mixed, and the lid would drip mess everywhere. Moreover, the new tamper (which feels like cheaper plastic than the old tamper design) didn't have any disk-shaped piece near the handle to block that gush of food from splashing out of the top opening. And finally, the lid has clips made from the same, very sturdy plastic, which means that the clips are very hard to undo, and I worry that with time they'll just crack from the stress. Ultimately, I decided to return it and stick with my old, taller, narrower blender with the rubber lid and well-designed tamper.

Great Blender
20 March 2023

This is my first vitamix blender purchase and I am liking it so far! I mostly use it for blending grains into flours. It definitely results in a finer and smoother consistency versus my old Ninja Blender. I have also used it to make smoothies and baby food and the consistency is quite nice as well. The container is sturdy yet fairly large. It is better suited for use to blend larger quantities. I do wish it came with a smaller container but you can purchase it separately.I love the fact that it comes with a 10 year warranty; However I do plan on upgrading to another vitamix in the future. Overall, this is a great purchase for my first vitamix blender.

Hate it
7 December 2022

I bought this to replace my over 10 year old Super 5200 that still runs but has developed some motor problems. I liked everything about my old machine more. The 2300 feels flimsy, the plastic gives in on the sides and makes creaking noises when I lift it. The 5200 felt solid. The rubber pad on 2300 is softer and feels less like natural rubber, whereas the rubber on 5200 feels nicer. The controls on 5200 were responsive and solid, but the start/stop switch on 2300 fails to work a lot of the times. It's irritating to try to start or stop the processing multiple times. The worst part is that is is very, very loud! My 5200 hummed nicely, with an even tone, and had no crackles or cycling noises. I couldn't believe my ears when I made my first smoothie with the 2300! Not only it makes incredibly loud noise, there are so many different noises. There is some resonating sound from the body, some clanking noises from the container vibrating on the rubber pad, and some very odd cycling noises that seem to come from the blade. It also vibrates so much I have to hold onto the container to damp the noise a bit, and sometimes it vibrates so much the whole unit starts rotating and walking on the table. It's scary. And this is only on low speeds, I never dared to try higher than speed 6. Oh, and to top it all off, it stopped running on its own, probably because of some overheating protection. But my trusty old 5200 rarely if ever did that, and never with smoothies. Goodbye, Ascent. I'm going old school with another legacy machine.

I am a repeat Vita Mix customer going back over 30 years. This is my fourth (and probably last) Vita Mix, and it is the only one I have been unhappy with. I bought this A2300 a couple years ago, and like the others, it is built like a truck and should last longer than I will.So what is the problem? First, the 64 ounce container that comes with the blender is enormous and too big for 99 percent of what we would use it for. There is no option to choose a smaller container without spending hundreds of dollars more. I never thought Vita Mix was that kind of company, but it seems to have fallen in line with the idea that businesses need to milk their customers in order to succeed. Sad.But I would only subtract one or two stars for that. What has really motivated me ... MoreI am a repeat Vita Mix customer going back over 30 years. I never thought Vita Mix was that kind of company, but it seems to have fallen in line with the idea that businesses need to milk their customers in order to succeed. Sad.But I would only subtract one or two stars for that. What has really motivated me to write this review is the nightmare self detect "feature." We bought the smoothie bowl and base, which is not cheap by any means. It has become almost impossible to use, because the base fails to detect the bowl 90 percent of the time. The only way to get it to detect is by closing it insanely tight which makes it difficult to open back up. I'm not a weak person. This is not how an expensive product like this should work. You can buy a perfectly adequate smoothie blender for less than the cost of the smoothie cup alone. It should work, but it doesn't.I have searched far and wide for some kind of solution, without success. This is a known problem (read the Amazon reviews) so it puzzles me that Vita Mix has nothing in its support pages about this. (The FAQs are useless, they read more like advertisements than help information.)I can make the problem go away by removing the red rubber gasket. I've only done this with an empty container, as I have no interest in spraying my kitchen with the liquid in the container. But this shows that the problem is getting the metal strips embedded in the bowl close enough to the base, which is why over tightening works. The weird thing is that the base detects my 64 ounce container when it is still a couple of inches from the machine.Apart from all the problems it is giving me, the self detect feature strikes me as more of a gimmick than a useful feature, especially with the 2300 which has no programs and there is just nothing for the machine to detect that would make any difference in how the machine operates. As mentioned at the beginning of the review, the machine is heavy duty and isn't going to fall apart any time soon. If the bugs that I have encountered don't matter to you, then there is no reason not to buy it, but it has been largely a waste of money for us.

13 January 2023

I’ve been wanting a Vitamix for a long time now; We saved up gift cards from our wedding last year and finally made the purchase! Mainly will be using for smoothies and the internet said good things about the Ascent series. We ended up choosing the A2300 over the A2500 because they are essentially the same, but the 2500 has 3 programmed buttons in addition. We found out that the 2300 could do all of the same things via the phone app.We were between the grey and red. Glad we went with the red color, it add a sweet touch to our kitchen! Also, it wasn’t worth it for us to pay extra for the stainless steel. Overall super happy to be a Vitamix member now!

Minus one star because it's expensive and all the little variations with $50 more for this or that feature are annoying. BTW without the long warranty, I wouldn't have felt comfortable spending this much on a blender.
