I can't sing the praises of this blender enough. I make a LOT of smoothies, and I've always wanted a Vitamix. I was so excited when I received this one as a Christmas gift one year. They are pricy, but believe me when I say that they are worth every penny. I've had mine for 3 years and still use it at least 5 times a week. I have made smoothies, soups, juice, smoothie bowls, hummus, almond butter and more. I can really tell the difference between the power of this blender and other ones I've tried. When I look up recipes online for smoothie bowls, almond butter etc., there are always reviews talking about how the recipe was gritty or didn't mix properly, and it always boils down to the blender. I could go on about the Vitamix all day, but I'll wrap it up by saying that if you buy it, you won't be disappointed. They also have a crazy warranty period and an arsenal of replacement parts if you should ever need them. I recommend checking Costco as you can score one for a good price there.

Bought the Explorian Series E320 12 months ago. I wanted a vitamix and this was the least expensive model. Main reason for purchasing was to get more vegies in my diet.( green juices ). I use it every 3 days and it is a healthy habit I couldn't do without. Lots of recipes out there. Made a few soups and fruit juices but mainly for green juices. Blender never stalled or over heated. You see this happening in some reviews. I pack my 64 oz container full and the result is fantastic. Silky smooth. Play around with your ingredients to get your desired taste and texture just right. Some say noisy and I agree but that comes with all that power. I have bought a lot of kitchen tools in the past which were never used but I love and use this product all the time. The only negative about this product ( I had seen this on another review) is the nob to adjust speed is a little wobly.Happy mixing

I got the E320 from Costco. It's a high speed motor, but seems to be ill-matched with the rest of the set. It's substantially lighter than I'd have expected given its price and the fact it's supposed to be a premium product. The included 20oz tumblers are horrifically designed, you have to fill them very loosely and add a ton of liquid or they just plain don't work. We end up starting, stopping, poking the contents around over and over until it blends, and even then I only end up getting about 10 ounces worth of smoothie out of them, which isn't enough for a meal replacement. You cannot add ice otherwise it will be too thick to blend, which makes me have to completely change my preferences when it comes to my smoothies. My experience making nut butters wasn't good. ... MoreI got the E320 from Costco. It's a high speed motor, but seems to be ill-matched with the rest of the set. It requires you to use the highest speed otherwise it starts to smell like melting plastic and shuts off for an hour. What ends up happening is the bottom 1" of nuts get absolutely liquefied far more than any store-bought nut butter, and then the butter heats up until it's almost smoking and affects the quality of the end product. Using lower speeds results in competent nut butter, but it will fry your motor. I have much better results with an entry level food processor. The hummus was awful, obliterated into an eerie, smooth paste. Again, my entry level food processor blows it out of the water. This unit does a lot, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't do any of it well. I'm not sure I can find enough utility out of this unit to warrant keeping it, as the only thing I've found it excels at is making tahini.

Love the Blender - the Tamper, a bit less so...
15 November 2022

I absolutely love my E320! I added it to my kitchen as a 2nd alongside my Vitamix Professional Series. I had added a shorter 48 oz. pitcher to my older Vitamix so imagine how excited I was to realize I could use both the 64 oz. pitcher that comes with the E320 AND my 48 oz. pitcher that I had previously purchased! My only less than positive opinion lies with the newer tamper. It feels hollow and cheap feeling. It is shaped slightly different and I don't believe the tampers are interchangeable (I've not tried), but I like the feel and handling of the old style tampers much better. They feel better in your hand. But this fact does not diminish the E320 to me! Faster, more powerful, 64 oz. and still fits under my cabinets! I use it daily! Love!

I'm more than happy with my vitamix blender. With my old ninja, I used to dread and actively avoid blending. Now, I look for excuses to blend! I had planned to use it for nut butters, vegan cheeses, dressings and the occasional smoothie, and I have used it for all these things. The texture I'm able to get is out of this world, and the tamper is a great for blending thicker recipes. I also like being able to add ingredients as the motor is running. Being able to easily blend some tougher ingredients like ginger is also great. Terrible product
19 October 2021

This is by far one of the worst products I have ever used. More than half the time I attempt to use this the blender will not even turn on. If it does turn on, it starts smoking and shuts off, then will not turn back on for at least 30+ minutes. The personal blender cups with the blender base leak constantly the minute you attach to the blender. I have attempted to deal with it and keep this blender but it just gets worse every time I attempt to use. It basically won’t even turn on at this point. For $400 this was a complete waste of money, it just sits on our counter because again, more than half the time it won’t turn on, shorts out, then you have to wait 30minutes to may get it on again. Very disappointed
9 March 2022

We had a 5200 for over a decade that was wonderful. However, the container got a small crack so we replaced it with the E320. We have been so disappointed. Unlike the 5200, this one does not make smoothies well. I'm not sure if it is a weaker motor or if it is the design of the wider container but food does not blend well especially frozen fruit. The blades don't reach far enough out and the food does not get sucked down into the blades as with the previous model. We use the tamper but it doesn't help much because it is too short and can't push the food toward the blades. I think we are ready to give up and sell it online and buy a Blendtec instead. We were Vitamix fans all the way before this and recommended them to many people over the years. We are so disappointed.

Vitamix E520 Review: The Best Just Got Better!
1 January 2023

I recently purchased the Vitamix E520 blender from Costco and I am absolutely loving it! I had an older model of this blender and while it was good, this newer model has really impressed me. The dial presets like smoothie, soup, and colder dessert make it so easy to use and the results are always perfect. And the fact that I was able to get it on sale for $100 off at Costco makes it an even better deal. This is truly an amazing product and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a high-quality blender at a price point that won't break the bank.

Was getting shortness of breath from the smell…
21 July 2022

I bought the Vitamix E320 at Costco, it smelled like strong rubber, noticed I felt short of breath after a couple of days smelling that in my kitchen. I put it in the spare bedroom and started feeling much better. My housekeeper went to get it for a quick blend and said the whole bedroom smelled like that.I loved my Vitamix 6300, I guess they don’t use the same material now. It blends smoothies, but it left chunks in my banana, mango ice-cream, and I couldn’t make a small batch. It was not fast on the pulse button like my 6300. I wish Vitamix would bring that one back.

I've had my Vitamix for a bit over 5 years now and I've had to send it in for repair, which was covered (hooray!), and I use it for so many things. I eat predominantly plant-based and my Vitamix has been vital. However, since having it repaired, I feel a bit of distrust with my machine. It really struggles with thicker recipes, like nice cream. Ever time I've made a batch, it starts making a terrible noise and I have to shut it off. I follow all the directions and use my tamper faithfully, but perhaps it's just age and being worked so hard. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars, but it's not perfect, and it seems to be wearing out a bit sooner than I anticipated.
