Best matching F/R tire on the market

My favorite all around tire, it is just aggressive enough for the front yet fast enough for the rear. The compound and graphene combine for a grippy knob while the support keeps them from bending over like the M tires do.While ultimate traction isn't here it is progressive and predictable when it is drifting loose.

Excellent Tire

After the tire wobble and seeping sidewalls of Maxxis I decided to try out Vittoria and have been very pleased. Easy to mount, rolls fast, and good grip. Have had for over a year and very little signs of wear while the Maxxis sideknobs would have been tearing by now.I run an Agarro in the rear and Mazza up front and that combo is great for North Tx.

Good tire. Narrower than advertised.

Very good all-conditions traction. Surprisingly decent in the wet and slimy. A bit squirmy if you really hammer it into the corners, but manageable. Not a rear tire for chargers. Sweet on the front though.Runs undersize. I put the 2.35 on a 30mm ID rim and it’s not even 2.2 at the widest point.

Great front tire from Vittoria for dry/rocky/muddy/sandy conditions.
24 February 2022

Great tire. I'm using it as a front tire paired with Barzo in the back, and it has plenty of grip. Beyond typical dry conditions, it handles in muddy and sandy conditions as well (even going uphill). I've also tried it in rocky terrain and rock gardens and the tire works great and gives confidence. The compound of the tire is very soft compared to other Vittoria tires like Barzo or Aggaro, but seems to offer much better grip. It (probably) rolls slower than Aggaro or Barzo, especially on roads or smooth terrain, but after a while I don't notice it that much (or I got used to it).So far, very much pleased with it.

Impressive and ultra-resistant grip
16 July 2021

I bought the 29 x 2.6 and they have so much grip and give so much confidence that they changed the handling for me. They are heavier than Mezcals (which I also love) but when I started using them they changed my handling and the impression of what can be done on a MTB. Now these tires are my favorites, especially as the front on 2.6. His favorite terrain is: EVERYTHING! They work even in mud very well. Not for nothing do they use them in the world Enduro championship!

Rolls well on dirt and pavement
11 July 2022

I bought the 2.6" because I wanted a tire with more traction than the Vittoria Agarro on the front tire. I was concerned that they would drag on pavement - I have to ride two miles on the road to get to my local trails. However, these tires roll great on pavement and have super traction on my dirt trails. Very happy with my purchase. I really like the fact there is a lower cost tire alternative available to big M that is just as good if not better.I run the Mazza on the front and Agarro (2.35") on the rear on my Santa Cruz Chameleon. I ride in Nor Cal.

So glad I tried these!
14 April 2022

I replaced a pair of Ethirteen TRS+ tires with these. I was considering the Maxxas Minion DHR II and DHF combo that everyone rides on their trail/enduro bikes but I talked with a mechanic in my area about our trails and he talked me into giving these a try. Boy am I glad! I put a 2.4" on the rear and a 2.6" on the front of my YT Jeffsy 29. I absolutely love these tires. They have incredible traction on dry, polished roots and rocks. They seem to do pretty good on wet roots too. I find that on lines where I previously would swing wide for fear of sliding out I can now hold my line or even pull inside if I want to. As you lean them over they are super consistent. I don't ever feel like the tire changes or gets squirrely. They just grip from side to side and everywhere ... MoreI replaced a pair of Ethirteen TRS+ tires with these. As you lean them over they are super consistent. I don't ever feel like the tire changes or gets squirrely. They just grip from side to side and everywhere in between. They actually roll faster than my TRS+ tires and don't feel draggy on hard pack. The final item that persuaded me to try these were the reports that they last longer than the Maxxas combo. For the money these are proving to be incredible tires!I'm old school and don't like to drag wheels or skid (that was a big no no when I started MTBing). I also grew up on skis. When I come into a corner with these tires I get that same feeling that you have when you set skis on edge and just carve a turn! The whole bike feels planted and ready to hold. If you like to wash out your rear wheel or skid around turns I DO NOT recommend this tire for your rear wheel. If you like solid, planted traction the 2.4" rear and 2.6" front combo is incredible. I run 18 psi up front, 22 psi in the back and no inserts.Stans sealant sealed them right up and they leak very little sealant through the sidewalls or bead when installing. They hold their pressure for several days. In contrast, my TRS+ tires were so constantly weeping sealant and leaking at the bead. These seem to have a much sturdier side wall without being heavy. They are super easy to install. I almost was able to put the tires on my 30mm rims by hand. I used some levers at the very end just to make it easy and not spill my sealant. I pulled the valves out of my stems and just placed an air compressor spray nozzel over the empty valve stem. Hit it with 90 psi and "bing, bing, pop" they sealed right up. No soapy water or fancy floor pumps needed. I also didn't have to buy a fancy presta chuck for my air compressor. If your still reading this and don't know what trail/enduro tire to buy, just get these! You will love them!

Supple, smooth rolling and tough
27 February 2021

I've been riding Martello/Mota/Agarro for years now and the Mazza is the logical choice now. Vittoria has answered my complaints about the Maxxis stranglehold. Maxxis set the bar, high with their Minion. Trouble is they wore out quickly and unsupported side knobs tore off on the loose over hardpack trails here in Colorado. If I had deep loam, those would be fine but the Mazza side knobs are well supported and bite into the hardpack for great cornering, and the ramps&steps on the center knobs roll easy. The graphene does add longevity to the soft rubber.

Yep.....
24 June 2023

Yep...just rode these on a rain soaked singletrack, mostly uphill...thought the climbs would be a dragging, boggy affair but not today McFly ...got to the downhill section and these were a whole new level of fast and furiuos, almost reckless fun in the loose and muddy everythings, everywhere...yep...Next run will be dry, loose, rocky, somewhat techy climbs then fast and furious dry, loose, rocky, very techy downhills...lets see how this plays out...

pleasantly suprised
21 September 2022

I bought these tires on advise from a friend, was getting slip climbing punchy rooty trails. my other tires were't even close to worn out, just didn't like tread on rear, The trail casing wasn't available, I rolled the dice. Love these tires, I have over a hundred miles on them and they are notedly better than any tire ive used. They truly are better and I didnt notice a weight penality with the enduro casing, it actually preformed way better on downhill grip.
