Vittoria Rubino Pro IV TLR Tubeless G2.0 Tyre
This RubinoPro G2 TLR Race Folding Tire is the ultimate training tire for intensive training and race days. Every part of the tire has the optimum properties, because the tire has a high-quality rubber compound, this rubber compound differs in four places on the tread. The G2 graphene technology ensures an optimum ratio between grip, speed and durability. Thanks to the durable Kevlar-reinforced casting and side walls, the leakage resistance of the Corsa G2 is also high. All these techniques together with the TPI of 320 ensure that a very optimum ratio has been created between speed, grip, anti-puncture protection, wear resistance and flexibility. The tire is tubeless, this ensures that you can drive with a lower tire pressure. This gives you less chance of a puncture in the tire. The lower tire pressure also ensures that you have more comfort and grip without affecting the rolling resistance. This RubinoPro G2 TLR Race belongs to the performance race line, the second highest class in the Vittoria range.

Quality:already ridden the vittoria rubinoTL for the past 3 months. excellent quality. no punctures. bought another set for my other bike.Suitability:good for short, training and long rides.Performance:at par with more expensive branded competitors.Been using GP5000 TL in the last 5 years then shifted to Good year for a year..quality not good then Shifted to vittoria due to high price of the Conti GP. Vittoria tires is quality stress free tires.

These are a great hard wearing puncture resistant tyre that is also pretty easy to get on and off the wheels. My last ones have done over 3,500km and still have reasonable life left. Only 2 punctures in that time. Only replacing as 1 tyre got a bigger cut when I didn't avoid a piece of glass - wary of the glue repair job! Excellent price from Bike Inn, although delivery to NZ was slow.

These tires were easy to mount and set the bead using my air compressor. I inflated my tire and rode my bike around the block. The next morning when it was time to walk out the door for a ride, the tire was completely flat. I had 2+ oz of sealant in my tire.I pumped it up, filled up my sink with water, and immersed my wheel/tire in the water, only to see tiny air bubbles coming up from the sidewalls - all around the tire. Pulled the tire out of the water, and you could feel air coming out from the sidewalls. I don't know how this could happen apart from it being a manufacturing defect. This is not my first time mounting tubeless tires, and I'm returning these ASAP.

I have a set of lightly used Rubino's on my back-up road bike which have been fine. So I purchased a second pair for my primary bike.Into the second ride on these new tires, the front tire sustained a pinhole puncture which would not seal. The puncture would seal with added sealant and inflated to 80 psi, but once ridden would open and spray sealant. After several attempts, I have removed the tire and will look for another set.More disappointing is the non-response from Competitive Cyclist. I have sent text message, email and chat to see if there is a warranty or return option. Finally got a response by chat - no warranty/return/exchange.I recommend not buying this tire.
So I've returned to the Vittoria brands after about 5 years of not using them! On my 3rd ride out one of them suffered a 8mm long cut writing it off! I heard that hit something Metallic and it went bang! My stans Race sealed it enough for me to safely get off the roundabout I was on! But I needed a Stan's Dart to ride home on it! Once home it was obvious the tyre was dead! I've put this down to bad luck! And have another one now. I'm riding the 30c on a 20mm inner rim, and it's super smooth fast and grippy! These tyres are just plain comfy and confidence inspiring! I could say they are awful due to the hole but that's just down to bad luck
Good grip and nice ride. Tremendously difficult (way to tight) to install on my Vittoria wheels even though I left them out in the sun and used some lubricant on the bead / wheel. They leaked a lot of sealant thru the sidewall, not at the bead but thru the sidewall. They do not last well in the Arizona summer heat. I have been riding on Vittoria tires with tubes for six years. I will go back to the old tube and Vittoria tire set up as these are to much of a PITA and I won't be buying these again.
Been running tubeless for 4 years, on Giant SLR rims with 17mm internal width. I like these Vittorias better than the Giant Gavias that came with the bike, and better than the Hutchinson Sector 28s I mounted after I wore out the Giants. Why? 1: mounted easily without needing levers. 2: Sealed quickly with a little boost from the compressor. 3: Immediately held pressure overnight. 4: Riding them feels fast and smooth. One caution: these tires run narrower than the labeled size. 25mm measured just under 23, so I returned them and ordered 28s, which measure about 27. Only 150 miles so far, so I can't speak to durability. I have the same question as Giorgio regarding pressure. I find they work well at 65 - 70. Can't seem to get an answer to why the manufacturers all ... MoreBeen running tubeless for 4 years, on Giant SLR rims with 17mm internal width. Just mounted the new 700x30 Rubinos on my Jamis adventure bike. When returning from a 30 mile spin I noticed that both tires have an issue with the molding process quality. The issue is apparently the two half's of the tire mold did not align accurately at the center line of the tire and were off set approximately 0.5 ~ 1.0 millimeters. This means that one side of the tire is higher or lower at 180 degree intervals, making the tire exhibit eccentric motion (wobbly) at higher speeds. I'll be contacting Competitive Cyclist to see is there is a manufacture's warren-tee for defects. There are good tires over-all and I will continue utilize Rubinos on my bikes provided Vittoria gets their manufacturing quality corrected.
So far I am loving these tires. I went from a 25cm to this 30cm from rubino. It fit with no issues. I am running with tubes on a TR rim at about 80 PSI. It absorbs the bumps much better than a 25cm. Also, no loss in speed.
This is my second set of these, not the fastest but a good trade off between speed, comfort, grip and protection. Can ride them all year round in all weathers on club runs and coffee rides. Can usually be found for a reasonable price. Top end tyres are lovely but the prices these days are very high and Surrey roads just trash them. Easy to seat and set up using just a normal track pump.
