The pigment is average, and so the staying power, I feel like it needs to be re-applied, the pigment does not last all day. This is a mechanical eyeliner, and I had no issues using it, however, the tip of the eyeliner got broken quickly, I guess I was not very gentle with that. The eyeliner itself is not very firm, and applies effortlessly. The shade I received is Quartz Queen, I would say it is pinkish-beige, and works great if applied in the corner of the eyes to highlight the area. It is easy to remove this eyeliner, sadly, it is not smudge proof. In my opinion, this eyeliner is average when it comes to pigment and lasting power. On the bright side, it is affordable, and is a great choice if you want to experiment with various looks!

I received this product from Nyx Influenster to test in exchange for my honest opinion. I LOVE this liner! The green color is unique and very beautiful, and goes very well with my olive undertones. This was ridiculously easy to use and the pigmentation is out of this world. I usually stick to liquid or gel liners because pencils never seem to work for me; this one is so different from anything I’ve used before. This also lasted all day during an 8 hour shift at work and I didn’t experience any weird smudging. I will absolutely be purchasing more shades of these and totally recommend this!!

I’ve used this for a while now and I absolutely love it. Nyx liners are overall amazing, so I expected nothing less than a great liner. I use it almost everyday and I blend it out with an angled brush. It’s very blendable, pigmented and easy to remove. It also stays in place for a long time and is pretty water resistant. If I want to increase the pigment, I apply black eyeshadow with an angled brush and it blends great with the eyeliner. Would highly recommend!

NYX Vivid Rich Mechanical Liner Shade: Truffle Diamond *Received courtesy of @nfluenster nyx for my honest review. I love this liner! The shade Truffle Diamond is a gel, matte, dark brown (with some gray undertones) liner. It’s a really nice shade for some smokey eye looks and by itself for those simple kinda days. Glides on smoothly and is so creamy! Once it dries down (give it a few minutes) it’s pretty smudge proof. There’s no tug while gliding it over your lids. The pigment is definitely there, and you don’t have to press hard to get that payoff either. Wish the liner was waterproof though. I wish it had a built-in sharpener as well to get the tip pointy again. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this liner. I’d purchase and try other ones.

I tried this liner hoping it would have better staying power than other pencil eyeliners. It wore off and smudged similar to how other pencils have worked for me in the past. The tip could also be smaller because it became dull really quickly and it was hard to get a precise line. I do like how many colors this line of pencils has, and I think if you’re looking for a color liner this might be worth a try. However, the black pencil just didn’t work for me.

I was really impressed on the very first try and now i dont think ill ever use a different liner. Its so smooth and applys black pigmentation effortlessly. It doesnt smear or move throughtout the day like most smooth liners do and it cleans off super easy at the end of the day. I never have any stain or residue left behind. I removed one star because I believe a sharpener installed on a liner is crucial. Creating solid lines and wings are effortless with this but I dont want to have to carry around a separate sharpener.

New formula is terrible!

If I could give this eye liner 0 stars I would. I never leave reviews but thought I would for this one. I've been using NYX retractable eye liner for MANY years now and the last time I went to purchase it, they changed to the new "vivid rich" so I went ahead and tried it. It's horrible to say the least. It is so difficult to put on, and it pretty much wears off before lunch time and doesn't even look like I'm wearing eye liner. I'm not sure why this new formula was made and who even likes it. I wish they would go back to the old formula because I loved it!

Terrible

I got the shade always onyx so i cant speak about the other shades but it is TERRIBLE. I have tried everything, but no matter what i do i always end up with black smeared under my eyes like 15 mins after putting this on. EVEN if i just put a little on my top lashline. Also it breaks so much and ive never had either of these problems before. I basically cant use it because it ruins the rest of my makeup no matter what. I was looking for something cheap and good and nyx hadnt done me wrong before, but this is definitely a pass.
