Viviscal Strengthening Conditioner 250 ml

Let me start by saying this is the product I liked the least in the Viviscal box. However, it's still a good conditioner. First thing I noticed was that it is a lightweight conditioner, which is a good thing, cause my hair is oily and fine. However, as far as I know, being lightweight doesn't mean it won't be effective. While I was applying it to my hair, I didn't feel that instant softness. After rinsing it off and towel drying it, my hair was still tangled and in need of a leave-in detangler. After it was completely dry, my hair did feel soft at first, but on the day after, it was more tangled than usual and not very soft anymore. The Viviscal thickening conditioner is okay, but I wouldn't use it again. It made my 4b hair so dry, hard and tightly coiled it looked like I used a curling product on my hair! I wasn't looking for curls, I was expecting soft, sleek, thicker and/or fuller hair. I don't feel like it softened my hair, or made it more manageable, but it did make it feel fuller and thicker. It took over a week to return my hair back to it's original condition after using this product. If you have naturally dry hair, skip this product because it definitely does not add moisture to 4b-4c hair. If your hair is naturally oily and you want thicker hair, this product may work for you. I warn anyone that want to use this product that it may be over drying.

I received the Viviscal strengthening conditioner for free from influenster in exchange for my honest review. This conditioner is quite a thick texture which stays on my hair nicely when applied. The product does not just slide off my hair like some other conditioners do. It has a slight scent which is refreshing and clean smelling. You only need a small amount of product which spreads nicely on the hair. When washed off, the hair feels bouncy, soft and you can physically see an increase in shine. The hair feels stronger and more radiant.

I have fine curley hair that is bleached and was hoping this would be a perfect fit into my haircare routine. However I quickly realised that for me this wasn't a good fit. Each time I have used this it's left my hair feeling dry and straw-like and I even got a comment about how dry my hair was looking. As soon as I switched back to my old routine my hair has been fine. I had to use quite a bit of product as the usual amount of conditioner I'd use felt like it just disappeared when I began to apply it. It has a nice floral scent to it though.

Paired with the shampoo and the serum, I think so. Again, I would reiterate that this product is meant to be used as part of a three product system to achieve the “thickening” claim. By itself, I highly doubt you would see any difference.

After rinsing the water out, it felt like it had a coating on it- in a good way! It felt stronger and protected. I’ve only used it a few times but I think it’s going to make a massive difference. I have fine curly hair and this feels like it gives it a bit of extra protection as it can often be brittle. It also smells amazing which is never a bad thing!”

I received this product for free from Viviscal and Influenster to incentivize my review. Not conditioning enough for my fine waves. Added personal conditioner, and leave in conditioner to be able to brush it. Did feel like it was strengthening though. So I definitely see value in using it, letting it soak in, then just adding more of a different conditioner. This is problem I’ve had my whole life - products that are for fine hair/to add volume aren’t conditioning enough. Products for curls are too heavy, and weight my hair down. I noticeably didn’t lose as many strands during wash as I usually do. Hair in the drain was half the usual size, after full wash, conditioning, and rinse. I love the smell of these products. Its smells phenomenal and it lasts all day. This isn’t a normal slippery slimy conditioner. Washes out very easily. I couldn’t tell a huge difference in my hair but I feel like it was becoming slightly healthier and stronger. Again, I adored how it smelled and would continue to use it for that. But I do wish that it provided more moisture to my hair. I find that it doesn’t feel as smooth and silky. I’ve added an additional serum for moisture and shine and smoothness. I feel like without that, it tangles easier and just isn’t as smooth and soft as it normally is. Maybe this is just because these products are adding some texture.

The shampoo was extremely clarifying and gave me a deep cleanse. I use this after I had hair dye on my hair, and it cleansed my hair completely without making my hair feel dry coarse or like straw. I love the clean, fresh scent of a floral vibe. The conditioner was super thick. It's one of the thickest conditioners I've ever seen. It coated my hair and each strand with the delightful scent of light flowers. It was not an overpowering fragrance but one I quite enjoyed. I think over time you could really tell a difference with this shampoo and conditioner.

Over the last few years, my hair is thinning majorly on the top and sides. (Idk if it’s from my birth control, COVID, or most likely- the seizure medication I’m on) it feels thin, frizzy, dry, dull, limp, and has lost the ability to hold a curl.
