The video quality is sufficient, but it occasionally drops frames when there's a lot happening on screen all to once. e.g. a fast pan across a detailed scene (such as leaves on trees or dirt). It works really well otherwise. Color reproduction is excellent. Detail isn't always the best, but it is a small sensor. It's also capable of being used as a 1080P30FPS webcam, which is a nice perk. Comes with plenty of mounting hardware and options. Overall I'm reasonably impressed with it and given the price you're not out much if it gets lost, stolen or destroyed. I'd buy it again.

The camera seems like a great deal with all the accessories and the screens are great. Great color and quality with those. My complaint is the batteries. They get SCARY HOT! When I use or charge the camera they get scorching hot making the camera hot in turn. I’m afraid to use it because I’m afraid that they will catch fire. Not going to lie, I’m a bit bummed out by this as we were going to use it on the paddle board and kayaks. Might want to just pay a little more and get a different brand.

If you’re looking for a GoPro camera type experience but don't want to pay an extreme amount the Vivitar 4K Wi-Fi Action Cam is a decent starter camera that doesn’t break the bank. Of course the video quality isnt as good as a GoPro but it does take decent quality pics and videos. You get tons of accessories. I haven't tried it in the water yet because I'm always weary of anything that says waterproof and don't want to risk it not perfomig as it should. The case that comes with it does fit tightly with a rubber seal and closes great. I'm sure it would do great under water and if i decide to take it underwater I'll update. Don’t waste your money. We originally liked this camera a lot. It was super easy to use and had lots of accessories. We even bought 2 of them so we could have extra batteries since you can’t buy batteries separately. Sadly, one camera stopped working after a week, and the second one stopped working after a month. Sooo, frustrating. I was tempted to order a replacement after the first broke but I’m glad I didn’t. The screen went out on the first camera and the power button seems to be the issue on the second camera.
I bought 2 of these for my boys. They have been asking for a go pro for years. One of the cameras works and works really well! The video and photo quality is great. Having all the extras with it is a big bonus. But the other one will not connect to Wi-Fi. I called the company and their answer was for me to pay for shipping to send it to them and then 3-4 weeks after they get they would send me a new one. This is exactly what he told me. I am just going to return it to the store and hope they have another one. I am give 2 stars because warranties are a big thing for me. Paying for shipping and waiting more then a month to get a replacement is just a no for me

I dont think I'd pay more then $65 for it.Overall not a bad camera, dont expect it to be something better than it is. If you dont set unrealistic expectations for it, itll surprise you. The 2 included batteries are 500mAh and 900mAh. Not the greatest, but out of the box they did 7 minutes and 22 minutes worth of recording on 4k 60mhz. Pictures and videos are clear and sharp. It does seem to stutter with fast movement and pictures/videos after sunset. The audio is good. You can hear sounds from videos pretty good. I dont know if you can use a mic with this camera. The only real downside I've had so far is it became warm while recording. Battery pins sit on opposite side of all other action camera batteries. Since the pins are on the opposite side of all other cameras, it makes it impossible to find a replacement battery. You would need to do a battery repack, since there are no battery replacement other than the batteries in the kit.Camera DOES work with no battery via micro usb power.The Vivitar DVR923, DVR923KIT, DVR923KKIT-HD are a rebadged Chinese Camera "TRANSTYLE TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED 4k Action Camera T48M (2ALN9-T48M)".Viviatar offers zero support for this product and it’s impossible to get a replacement battery, as the pin are on the opposite side compared to other action camera's.Will be returning, its worthless without replacement batteries.

At first I was a little intimated, but after reading the instructions, it was really a piece of cake to use! Personally I love the smaller, compact size, don't let that fool you, this camera takes amazing quality pictures and video. It's a still camera also, which helps those of us with shaky hands. I have used the camera to take pictures used for album covers and other professional things.However, one problem is that you need to press several buttons more that 4 times to switch to picture taking. I had to memorize the series of button presses to switch to picture mode because you can't see what to select on the screen in bright sunlight.Video quality is very good, however the built in image stabalization is not too good. I use a tripod, selfy stick or gimble to get more professional quality video.
