Copper Snowboard Jacket

Read reviews and hesitated to buy but liked the cut and especially the length so decided to take a chance. We snowboard Wolf Creek so frequently in epic-knee-deep powder. I purchased both the coper and leopard jackets and have to say so far the negative Velcro reviews are irrelevant to my use. Being said I was raised to take picky care of purchases so normally would not allow velcro to remain open to pick the fabric. Non issue for me. I like to layer and not feel bound so ordered a large to go over the girls and the jackets fit the way I like my clothing to hang and to size expectations. Overall PLEASED with the coats, quality and price. Would most def purchase Volcom again.

Decent jacket

It's a decent jacket but isn't warm enough. I find that I have to wear two hoodies and a vest to keep warm on the hill. The hood also doesn't fit over a helmet so if you wear one while snowboarding, wouldn't suggest this jacket unless you are okay with not being able to use the hood. The little draw strings on the jacket seem to get always caught in the velcro so those are all pulled apart and fuzzy now. I love the zipup on the inside liner hem of the jacket so I can attach my Volcom pants to the jacket. I've never gotten snow inside the jacket this way. Other than these issues, I'd say this is a decent jacket in 30F+ temperatures. Anything below or with any sort of strong wind is going to a chilly one.

Good jacket. A little long for a skier

I bought this as a ski jacket. It is warm, has plenty of perfect inside and outside pockets, and is a GREAT COLOR. However, I’m a skier, and this runs a little long. And, if I wanted to wear it on a cold day around town - the length would be far too long and look a little odd. I’m 5’6”, 185 and wear a size L typically, but ordered an XL because I know Volcom runs small. It’s definitely the right fit around my bust, my waist, and my arms - so it’s not too big. Great tailored shape as well.

Great jacket, just a little big
22 December 2020

Great style, function and length for a snowboarding jacket. I ordered the gray after being unable to get the copper in my size. I did order an XL, due to Volcom products typically running a little on the small size. I gained a few lbs over this whole covid pandemic, and for some reason it keep going to my chest, and outgrew my old jackets, bummer. The jacket over all was great and I would have kept it, but being an XL and me only being 5’4, it was way too long in the sleeves, and a bit too big overall. I think I may reorder a large and see if that fits better. The over all function was just what I look for in a snowboard jacket, pocket placement and options was awesome, and a cute style!

Highly Do Not Recommend
22 April 2022

I was extremely excited about this jacket for the 2022 ski season after purchasing it at my local Backcountry store. I've worn and loved Columbia, Burton, Spider, etc. for years and thought I'd give Volcom a "go". What a mistake that was giving this jacket as well as the Volcom brand a "go". After wearing the jacket just about 10 times, it started to pill and fade all on the front sides of the jacket. If I could attach a picture here to show the unsightly extent of the pilling, I would. The pilling on the jacket has resulted in it being unwearable from this point forward. After just 10 times wearing it, how does that happen Volcom?? It doesn't help that Volcom is now telling me they can't do anything in regard to a return or exchange because pilling/fading isn't ... MoreI was extremely excited about this jacket for the 2022 ski season after purchasing it at my local Backcountry store. With both the poor quality and the poor customer service, take my advice and spend your money and time elsewhere!

Nice looking but not the best qu

First the good, the color is really nice and the style is really nice. I love the hood and fact that it zips up covering my mouth. The hand pockets are warm but they seem a little low even though I have long arms. The coat and sleeves are pretty long and the zipper is great compared to many coats I?ve tried. I bought the coat a little bigger to fit layers but still a little small around the chest. The bad: Velcro and bad quality material. After a few days of regular daily wear to and from work, I noticed fuzziness on the right cuff. So I became more aware of the and avoided the velcro touching my sleeve, which is tough due to the chest pocket placement. But when I noticed their was damage on the chest and the sleeve got worse I decided to contact the support team ... MoreFirst the good, the color is really nice and the style is really nice. But the second coat had the same problem even though I was very careful and even tried using a scarf to reduce friction. After about the same amount of wears, the replacement has the same issue. I thought Volcom was a good brand and I had one before that was better quality and didn?t have this problem, it could have something to do with the change in material. Also this coat is not for very cold days unless you have a lot of layers.

Runs big, size down
27 December 2021

According to the size chart I was in between a medium & large. Both sizes were too big & I ended up with a small that fits great. Sleeves run a bit long, but the small was good for me. I?m 5? 3? 135 lbs.Great pockets & features. Will be perfect for boarding, but cute enough to wear out too. Love that it?s made from recycled materials.

Wish the fabric is better
27 February 2022

I always wanted a longer ski jacket with good pockets and armpits vents. I am 5'2", 102lb, and size S is perfect for layering warmer clothing underneath for very cold temperatures. I had a concern about the fabric because I read some negative reviews. It is true that this fabric can be easily destroyed by Velcro. I hope I can use this one more winter.
