Voluspa - French Cade Lavender - Jar Candle

This scent is my absolute favorite from Voluspa. It's heavy on the lavender so that's actually why I blind purchased this from Sephora the first time. I've since repurchased this candle several times because even with the burn issues (detailed below) it's worth it because of the scent! The notes are french cade wood (no clue what this is but wow does it smell good, very earthy, similar to cedar imo), verbena, and lavender. I keep this one on my nightstand and burn it probably every other night. These candles don't throw super well but with it burning right next to me it makes me very relaxed and (I think) helps me to fall asleep despite my horrendous insomnia. Not only is the scent a perfect blend of fresh lavender and sweet citrus, but it also burns incredibly clean and evenly. I’ve been buying Yankee Candles

I’ve been buying Yankee Candles for years and still love them. However, the scent of this candle and how it fills the room and then some, it is wonderful. I get so many compliments on this candle. More masculine than I would have liked...

Bought the mini, burn time is slow so I can see the candle reaching the full 50 hrs. However, the candle burns -slightly- uneven. (I've attached a photo, if you look closely on the left side of the candle the wax has dissapeared completely, but on the right side of the jar there is wax not fully melted.)Asides from this the scent is subtle which I like. I find the longer you burn it, the stronger the scent becomes gradually. Filled my small living room and kitchen with no issues; scent wise I was dissapointed by the lack of lavendar. The scent leans more towards the masculine side as it is more woody. Looks beautiful when lit, can't wait to repurpose the jar. Not bad for the price but would reconsider a different scent for next time.

Nice but smells like cologne

This is the third Voluspa scent type I've bought. I also own Vanilla Latte and Mokara. This particular one is my least favourite of the three because the scent smells more like a mens cologne than French Cade and Lavender - which is why I knocked off a star. You don't get much lavender or verbena but you do get a lot of cade wood in the scent. It has a decent throw but it takes a while burning for it to reach its full potential - so I would recommend it for smaller spaces. It reminds me a lot of Chanel Allure Homme, but a bit less sweet. It burns slower than Mokara but faster than my Vanilla Latte. Overall it's a good candle, very pretty, and honestly a nice scent, but the Cade Wood completely overpowers the other notes so it didn't live up to its claims.

Pretty jar but crappy candle

Let’s clear the air, no draft, no kids, no pets around, candle connoisseur considered. First time trying brand and scent Moso Bamboo. Lets face it pricey but what I loved was the beautiful glass jar. So I brought home and lit, 3 hours later and I cant smell anything, and the candle is burning straight down the middle and barely stays lit. I contacted the company and chatted on website, joke, please dont send me instructions on how to burn the candle, we all have that at my age, why not exchange it and do a little research to ensure future candle lovers dont get let down, but instead again instructions. The ONLY candle I buy or burn in my home <3

Years ago I purchased the GOJI TAROCCO ORANGE LARGE JAR CANDLE at Anthropologie, and from that first burn, I've never looked back. Every year at around the same time, I purchase a large amount of this exact candle to stock up for the year (12-16). I am very sensitive to scents so I do not wear conventional perfumes or ever purchase cheap candles. Even with higher quality brand candles, many times the scents are too cloying. I do best with non-synthetic, natural scents. This Voluspa candle scent is amazing. I can burn one candle for hours and it fills my entire apartment up with it's scent. And even though the scent is overt, it feels beautiful, clean, refreshing, incredibly warm, relaxing, and even a little bit sexy. It's never overpowering in a bad way. The best candle

To be honest I was quite surprised to see that people find that the candle is weak, I find it really effective. Essentially the smell starts to spread the moment you light it. It is a very warm and comforting scent. It is the perfect autumnal or winter candle in my opinion. The vanilla is not a sickly sweet vanilla but a really warm and mature vanilla, the star of the show is the sandalwood. Sandalwood has a reputation for being a rather masculine note but in this candle it really becomes soft and perfect as a home scent. Also the vessel for the candle is so gorgeous honestly such a beautiful piece of decor, lit or not. The forbidden fig candle is

The forbidden fig candle is amazing. After burning the candle the after smell continues throughout the home. It has a fabulous classic Sent. The forbidden fig diffuser sticks are fabulous for a foyer a powder room even the laundry room. They last for months. I really enjoy the my VOLUSPA candle collection. People enter my home asking all the time what is that unbelievable scent that you have in your home always. And I show them it’s called for bidden fig. I have two neighbors that are hooked on these candles. These are by far the best candles ever and I have used mini candles before throughout the years. I am a lifetime customer.

This is an expensive candle.

This is an expensive candle. So I expected the scent to fill the room. It did not. I have to stand over the candle and bend over it to smell any scent. The scent was not particularly pleasant, but that can be a matter of taste. For the size of the candle for that price, I was expecting something outstanding, this wasn’t. The candles I buy at the grocery store, do a better job for a fraction of the price. The glass was beautiful, but for some reason my jar is very difficult to put the lid back on and doesn’t feel secure. Again, this is certainly NOT outstanding.
