In a room 25x16 it has plenty of power.Mine stays on 33 and with the fan facing away from me but close to my bed, I feel the air circulating back to me with plenty of obstructions to stop it. It’s very powerful at top speed and in my opinion it’s probably the best fan you can own for the house.I run it on speed 33 or 38 when I measured the watt usage and I read 9 watts, which is excellent. At this speed the fan is quiet and runs smooth. It really is worth the price, and to know it’s backed for 10 yearsTHINGS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE.It needs a brush kit made for the 3 different openings. Bungled up telescoping feature

After we clicked the button into the hole to attach the head to the telescope, the head did not stay attached to the tube - it repeatedly just snapped right out. The setup with the brick having to be attached is cumbersome to install, made worse because the directions for this part of the assembly are inaccurate and in tiny, grayed-out print: The faded picture shows the A/C plug coming directly out of the tube, where clearly it's the adapter plug that you have to attached to its mate in the next step. Anyway we jerry-rigged something on our own to permanently keep the head in ... MoreWe were shocked and dismayed that the telescoping part of this stand fan doesnot work. We could have returned it but didn't have time to deal with that hassle. That said, the fan itself works okay, and it is convenient to have the remote feature. It does circulate the air quite well.

Favorite fan ever! Cools living room great!
9 July 2023

Not having air conditioning for most of my life, I tend not to like it. So, I’ve always opted to get fans. Researched this one for a while, and it worked out great! Yes, it can be loud, however, we have it in the kitchen, near the back sliding doors, blowing into the living room. Actually cools both rooms nicely!

Not Worth the Price
29 May 2022

I bought thid fan because of the great reviews but I returned the next day. Doesn’t cool off AT ALL, I had it in my living room all day and then my bedroom but neither cool off at all, even when I had it to 75% speed. I also thought it was going to be a quiet fan but oh boy was I wrong, it is if you have a 10-20 % speed, anything above it’s really loud and I couldn’t hear my tv; I had a video call and the person on the other side could hear it going even when it was on the other side of the living room. Plus, if you place it in your bedroom, the light from the diplay panel it’s to bright you won’t be able to sleep if you like room all dark. Nope, don’t recommend it at all.

Not worth the price tag
14 September 2022

Just got the fan. It works well but honestly not worth the price. Very compact which I like, a little on the short end. The air comes out good but the structure is very stiff. It doesnt oscillate (which is my bad, I should've read the description closer) but to turn the head requires to pick up the fan & turn the whole thing. I have a small room & where I have the fan its annoying to have to make this adjustment anytime I want to adjust the direction. I can probably find a fan a 3rd the price that will blow the same & oscillate. Will be returning.

Perfect for my dorm!

My school ordinarily has air conditioning, and it's pretty decent. For a minute, I didn't see this fan making a major move into my life opposed to other fans until it saved my life. One night, I fell asleep while washing wigs so I woke up at 3 AM with them covered in conditioner, and them needing to have been styled and ready by 8:30 AM. Ordinarily, I would have been screwed. There's no way these would have been air dried in time nor would I be able to blow dry them all early in the morning (a recipe for an angry suitemate). The fan saved the day. I closed all the bathroom doors with the wet wigs over towels to create a little circulation like the fan promised, and by the time I woke up at 7, the wigs were beautifully dried and so shiny. I didn't even have it up ... MoreMy school ordinarily has air conditioning, and it's pretty decent. I didn't even have it up that high, it was at like 35! I also love the soft nosie the fan emits, it's good for drowning out noise. But, I don't want anyone to mistake this for being a loud fan by any means! At levels below 50 it's a nice unintrusive hum. I wish the fan extended to be taller and more of a person's height, but it still does a great job of keeping a whole room cool throughout, but not cold.

Quiet, powerful airflow in a sturdy package

I was really excited when I received the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator. The directions are very detailed, making it easy to assemble. It's kind of like a combination of an oscillating pedestal fan and a box fan, as this fan does not oscillate. That's one feature that I do wish it had. What the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator provides is a very powerful air flow, and it does not need the oscillating feature to accomplish this. I was really surprised, as I sat far to the side of the fan, and was actually able to feel the air moving around me. I also like that the fan is fully adjustable from 0-100% power, and it changes seamlessly. It's also very quiet for having so much power. I definitely will be using this more as the summer approaches. This product is definitely sturdier than other pedestal fans, owing to its 5 strong base support feet. Even though it does not oscillate, I feel the airflow provided is comparable, or even superior, to other products I've tried. I also really appreciate that this is an Energy Star product. With all the electricity use that occurs (more often in the summer months), it's nice that this product is more efficient than other fans.I was not aware of the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator before receiving my sample from Viewpoints. I have not been in the market for a new fan purchase, so I have not paid attention to the brands and styles out there.I would recommend the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator for those looking for a sturdy fan (one that your kids can't knock over) and also those looking for a quiet, powerful fan.

I looked in to Vornado because their research center is in KS where I live. Of course I was super interested in a Dyson because I love my Ball vacuum, but they are so expensive, double the price of this super expensive Vornado! For a fan! Anyway, this was a present to my wife who can't stop using our old worthless fan constantly. I wanted one that was energy efficient, with a strong flow, and boy is this that fan. It looks awesome (wish it wasn't white) and performs to match. I ended up buying a Vornado 270 for use in our bedroom and it's just as good, really it is, but it's not as energy efficient which was my goal with this one. I love how compact it is for how extremely powerful the air that gets pushed out is. And the noise factor, my wife loves the sound of a fan, if you don't, you can turn it down to any of the lower 98 settings until you find your favorite. This is a very expensive fan, but worth it if you buy it for what it is.

Awesome fan! I have the smaller version that has alexa connected to it, but I use this for the bedroom. It doesn’t oscillate but it doesn’t matter because the way vornado works it that it circulates the entire room and not just one direction. So, even if you are on the opposite side of the room you can still feel the air being circulated. It’s also not an obnoxious standing fan either which is probably one of my favorite things about it. Its cute, thin, modern, and does an amazing job.
