Initially, I tried to cut my hair longer than number 4? It did cut but took a while, then when it was short enough it did cut evenly. I will get used to it. It is hard to clean hair out of the nook and crannies. I am not sure whether it (the head) can go under water to be rinsed clean or not. But the ease of use is great.Do I recommend it? I suggest it is overpriced, I would suggest buying normal clippers at a cheap price doing a number 4 and buying the elite when discounted, so as you may keep the level even stevens, which is what it is designed for.

I've been shaving my head for approx. 20 years using a mix of brand clippers, mostly with no guard for a close head shave. First 3 trial runs with the Crew Cut felt odd and took some time to get used to, however once I adapted to the new style of clipper I found it very easy to use. Rather than clippering every 7-10 days with my regular clippers I now just use the Crew Cut once every 2 days or so and it keeps my head looking freshly clippered in approx. 7 or so minutes. I Opted to use it with no guard and it does a very close stubble head-shave. Only owned it a few weeks and yet to master my neck line with it, however a quick run with the regular clipper head sorts that out in less than a minute anyway. Battery life is long so get a few cordless cuts out of one charge

Was expecting this to work flawlessly although I’ve used the clippers a couple times now and it just isn’t able to cut evenly all over no matter how many times I go over my head (and my hair is short normally). Problem spots are at the back of my head/ top of neck area and sides of my head. Thinking it doesn’t cut well on the flatter parts of my head. I always need to run the standard clipper head over my head to ensure all bits are cut evenly.

Great easy to use product for a short haircut, I got sick of wasting money at hairdressers & barbers, this device is offered at a great price from Shaver Shop and there online shopping is easy and delivery is quick. I would highly reccomend the product as it doubles as a hand held trimmer as well and comes with great accesories and a case.
I purchased this product approx. 3 months ago but did not actually use it until recently, I was still using the older model which I liked however it was starting to rattle and ear plugs were needed to shave my head. Well how disappointed I was, when the new one rattles just as loudly as the old one I tossed out, absolute rubbish, poorly made and should have known with the base and most of the shaver being plastic. I can not recommend this item as it is poorly designed and will develop a loud rattle soon after use.
Not bad, probably better for someone wanting above number 1 cuts, and with thicker hair than me. For me the lowest setting, a 1 blade equivalent, was still to high for my hair, thinning, so the spikiness is awkward looking with a sparse paddock :) I took the guide off and used it that way and it was far better for my circumstances. I just wanted something between untidy and using my Remington Ultimate Series RX5 Head Shaver and going completely shaven - sometimes i dont want to go all the way bare. In this im happy. For people with thicker hair the guides will do better for them. Does give you a more uniform cut than i thought it might....no long orphans noted

Just buy a regular hair trimmer and save yourself the time. The machine is slow and at times painful to use. Even after half an hour of doing circles in my head the cut was still uneven and needed fixing up with a regular trimmer. I returned the product to Hobart city store as soon as I could. The lady who helped with the return was fantastic but less can be said for the male manager on duty who was very abrupt and sulked like child in the corner throughout the return.
Crew Cut Elite Hair Clipper a great Item, worth the money but would never order online from Shaver shop again. I ordered on line because I could get free delivery from a Shaver shop 15min drive from my home. ( It took 10 Days to arrive. )
The Crew Cut Elite Clipper is much easier to handle than the standard Crew Cut Clipper and it does not have a faulty on/off switch. The only possible disadvantage is it cuts much closer to the scalp and you have to be aware of that when you first use it. It is very easy to cut the skin on your head with the Elite Clipper. Otherwise it is highly recommended.It is also recommended that you buy it via the internet as the behaviour of staff in the local Shavershop was unacceptable.
