VTech Kidizoom DX2 Smartwatch (Blue)

Bought for 4 year old as birthday present. Loves his sisters pink version. Was on fence about smart watch for 4 year old but it has lot of good learning in it and encourages physical activity. Watch very easy to set up and use. He figured out most features himself. Is very useful for teaching telling the time obviously. Has few games and features like camera filters. Both my kids use theirs mostly every day. They enjoy tracking their activities and beating their best times. I wish it came with just a the few few more games maybe but will download more content for them. Sturdy, good battery and really useful for keeping them amused on long car journeys too.

When the band breaks, it’s not possible to get a vetch replacement band. JbHi take no responsibility for assisting. I’ve contacted the national Australian distributor, and Vtech head office. They want you to buy a new watch! Disgusting. Worst possible outcome.

This is a great "smartwatch" for the budding technology enthusiast. We purchased this for our son's 5th birthday a few weeks ago, and he is LOVING it. It gives him the sense of ownership- being able to tell the time, let alone have so many other features to play with. I charged the watch the night before and learned all the functionalities so be able to assist my son with questions if he had them, but he has done pretty well learning the capabilities of the watch. There are apps you can purchase through the Learning Lodge, but at this point in time, the watch has enough features where we are not going to buy any apps. He hasn't quite enough patience to learn the instructions for playing the pre-loaded games, but I think that will come with time. He loves being able to take pictures, loves the timer feature, and having the ability to put the watch on himself (he does need a little help taking it off however). Charging time isn't terrible- 3 hours for the initial charge, and then maybe an hour or 2 for subsequent charges. I like being able to adjust some settings too- volume, brightness, etc. Overall, excellent purchase. Totally worth the price. Highly recommend this item!
