Not wanting to overload our child with push-button electronic toys, we bought this for our then 8 month old child hoping that it would be the only toy of that kind that she would have for a long time. Instant gratification as she was so enchanted with it that she crawled for the first time to get to it! Since that time she has engaged with it in new ways as she has developed. She is now 15 months old and still plays with it (if for no other reason than to push it to a new room) every day. It is not sturdy enough to help children learning how to walk stabilize themselves, but it certainly helped her learn on her own not to put all of her weight onto a walker, which in turn helped her learn to walk. This train was very easy to put together as the instructions were very helpful. My daughter has become absolutely obsessed with playing with this toy. She loves stacking the blocks, placing the blocks down the train shoot and riding the train around the house. The only downside to this train is that, even though the block hub reads the blocks in English, the blocks are all written in French. Even the letters correspond to French words. Also, the block slot can be a little touchy and will say the wrong word at first. I had to take it out and put it in again. This is very confusing for my daughter. Thankfully, she recognizes the words by picture and not by spelling. Overall, I would say that I love this product and I love how versatile it is. I bought this for my granddaughter who just turned one year old. It's 10/10 👌 she loves it, lots of play and so colourful. Music, blocks, knobs, switches, press buttons, ride on toy and so much more interesting little things for an inquisitive little mind. The instructions are plain and simple, just push and click, once clicked it doesn't come apart.. All round fun for little people 😊

Easy to put together and great quality. My 11 month old loves pushing the front train part, really helping with his confidence with standing/walking. Still too young to ride or understand all the games, but for now he loves putting the blocks through the tunnel and it counts how many he does and putting the blocks in the whole reads out the name on the block. This in the long run will help with his speech. Highly recommend for fun and learning for your little ones.

We got this about a week ago and absolutely love it! Usually my biggest gripe is unboxing toys and needing a toolbox to open them. Not this one at all!!! I had had it out in about 5 minutes. You do need to assemble and add stickers but that was just as easy. Took me about 15 total. It was so simple as when you have a kiddo ready to play you need to be quick! We have had so much fun with this amazing toy. It has some of the cutest features to help with learning and fine motor skills not to mention letter learning, colors and music! It comes apart easily to transition from a ride on to a pull toy. The talking dashboard comes off so you play with it on the go as well! The best part for my little one was dropping the letter bricks down the top hole and they fall out into the seat!! It’s well designed and sturdy. Bright colors and lights up too!! I highly recommend trying this because it will not disappoint with all the features and fun!!

Poor instructions leaving this toy useless!!!
21 February 2022

I’m extremely disappointed in the instructions or lack there of. The instructions never clearly stated which wheel or leg goes on which side. Easy for one to assume it wouldn’t matter then? Wrong. You can see in the picture it would appear that the leg fit to the train, so you snap it in place to the seat, only to find out it actually does not fit to the train. And with every piece to this toy, once you hear it click you can then no longer take it apart. Now, the pull cart is no longer good to use. For a $50 toy, that’s pretty disappointing but I understand it was partially my mistake. I think the instructions should be rewritten to make it a little bit more clear that there are specific parts that connect to specific parts simply for the fact that it’s very clear ... MoreI’m extremely disappointed in the instructions or lack there of. I did try reaching out to the company to see if I could replace it or even just discuss the issue at hand, but you can’t get a real person on the phone so I will no longer be purchasing another vtech toy.

Simply brilliant!

Purchased this for my little one who is under 12 months and he LOVES IT! The set-up time was about 20-30 mins total including adding some stickers which was easy and it’s been in use every day since. There are a couple of modes for learning and so many button options for littlies to play with. The buttons are easy to press except for the yellow walkie talkie which is more suited to fingers 12 months or older. I also like this toy as it’s a neutral accent for educational purposes instead of being ultra American, although we have American toys too. Can see this being used heavily across the next year in it’s multiple formats. IF you are considering this, you won’t regret it! Also, I think this is suitable for girls as well as boys, it’s just a great fun and positive toy.

Worth rebuying
5 October 2021

I have 4 kids and every single one of them has had a version of this Train since the original model came out years ago. By far this is the best model yet. Love the storage for the blocks and comes with many sounds and lights, even volume control for the parents. I have a 4 and 3 year old and there are enough pieces and things to do they can share this toy. My just turned 3 year old daughter loves to sit and drive the train around the hardwood floors too. Works well on carpet but she can coast on hardwood. This is definitely worth rebuying for kids down the line or would make a great worthwhile gift, plenty of varied use.
