This was got for Christmas as one of the gifts asked for, very upset little girl christmas day. door won't open and missing notebook and pen. Have contacted smyths, with very little help in replacing the toy.

A disappointed child. At first we couldn't open this booklet with all these codes and instructions and now after opening the toy won't close and is still open. Not recommended at all. My daughter got it as a birthday present from a friend and we can't return it because we don't have the receipt. Otherwise I would have done it.

Great product. Felt I needed to leave a review for everyone saying it won't open. You need to reset the diary once you get it and set a new passcode to set it to normal mode. Works perfectly once this is done

I bought this for my 6 year granddaughter and had no idea how much she would love it. She was so excited, I was very pleased with myself for thinking of something a bit different.
My daughter loves it, shes 5 yrs old, it's fun and encourage her to practice writing and drawing on the notebook. The numbers guessing game is also fun. The only thing is the notebook only thin pages not sure if we can replace with generic ones.
Pros: My little girl absolutely loves it. Especially the built in games.Cons: The actual note pad in the centre is really thin and flimsy and looks like 1 out of a pack of 10 from a £shop.
The idea of the diary is very good and my daughter loves the sounds it makes and the buttons on it, the only down side is it is VERY poorly made. When the password is created and typed in the door is supposed to automatically open. With this one that is not the case. She has to use a pen or anything she can use to pull from the love heart window to open the door. Really disappointed & was even more so when I had bought it in plenty of time for her birthday. I would not recommend only because of the bad experience I have had. If it had of worked fine, I would have said it was a great gift. Very poorly produced.
Fun little 'secret notebook'. Passcode protected. Includes some basic games to keep kids entertained including a recording and playback function.
I bought this for my granddaughters 7th birthday and she loves it! Quick delivery! Highly recommend A++++
It appears I’m not the only one from the other reviews below!Very confusing toy and the door won’t shut! Pen is awful too but the notebook is at least ok. Very disappointed child!
