These are the only block knife sets I will purchase. They work great and last a long time. The set comes with lots of variety and the knives are easy to sharpen. I love that the scissors are included as they are the best food grade scissors I have ever used! They are a little pricey but well worth it in my option because of the quality of the knives and they last forever! One tip I’ve learned is to never put them in the dishwasher alway hand wash quality knives and they will last forever!

I typically don’t buy block knife sets. I have several wustof knives that I have bought individually as well as a mix of Zwilling knives. Though I do cook much more often than my elderly mother I wanted to buy her a nice set for her birthday. It’s been a little over 7 months and she still raves about this set I got her. I do have to sharpen them more often than my individual knives I’ve purchased from wustof but she absolutely loves this set and tells everyone they are the best knives she has ever known.

These are definitely good knives but they also have clear issues... To get the bad part out of the way, for one the scissors came broken. Like when you open them too far to cut something the ends fall off of each other so you have two separated sides....BUT I did hold them together to try how they worked and they cut really well. Of course these ones are unusable unless you want to hold them together but I can assume a non broken pair would work really nicely. Secondly the little logo peels off which really bugs me, like you can't even tell the brand anymore cause it's some sticker material that peels off. For the price I paid I didn't expect a stick on logo. Lastly they have to be sharpened VERY often, more often than any other knives I've used. But all of these ... I have had this set for years and it is such a great addition to my kitchen. All the knives you would need for regular use, along with kitchen shears and also a sharper for the knives. I make sure to hand wash and dry after use which I think is part of why they are in such great shape for as old as they are but they have definitely been worth it for us. Recommend and would buy again
Everyone needs a great set of knives and this is it. I love them and I use them daily. I love to cook and they are well balanced and feel like an extension of my hands. The German steel is strong so they hold a great edge for a long time. Definitely one of my best kitchen additions.
Perfect set. Our most used are the chef knife, the bread knife, the 4 inch (?) knife, and the shears. The longer thinner knife is not as useful for me but my husband loves it. Nice to have extra slots for any additions. I personally like this Classic style the best. Feels heavy and well made but not overly done-up or fancy. Just a solid classic set of essentials. Toss your other knives!
It’s…fine. I know in my heart that I’m supposed to hand wash these knives to make them last longer, but I’m busy. I know the laziness costs me, but it’s a real hassle to always have to treat my knives that cook basic meals the same way a celebrity chef would. I know that’s self-centered, but I suppose that’s a kitchen priority for me. Aside from the pain in the upkeep, these knives work really well and look great on the counter.
I received this knife set as a wedding gift last year and these knives are the real deal! We’ve taken good care of these knives and they will last us forever. I had never invested in good knives previously and these are amazing and so sharp! They make cooking easy and fun.
This is such an incredible knife set. My husband and I revieved it as a wedding gift and my goodness, what a difference it makes. These knives are amazingly sharp and come with a knife sharpener for when they start to dull. They are pricy, but for good reason. I highly recommend them and plan to have them for the rest of my life.
I compared Wüsthof with Zwilling JA Henckels. Who knew one degree could make a difference? The Wüsthof brand is sharpened at a 14° angle while Zwilling is sharpened at a 15° angle this means the Wüsthof knives are sharper. The Wüsthof steel blades are also harder allowing them to keep the edge longer. These are also forged knives meaning they’re more durable than stamped knives. I got my knives at a steal of a deal for $200 (normally it’s a $600 set).
