Due to CV19 I had to try to cut my hair and my kids hair at home. Theres way cheaper clippers out there that Im sure can do the trick but the quality on this machine is amazing. I have a 2 year old and normally he hates the noisy clippers at the salons and I could not afford to have the clippers pinch or pull his hair even once. He didnt even flinch or move with these. My six year old had not cut his hair in so long and these clippers handle bulk hair with no issue. The cordless features make this way easier to use specially since were not in a salon. Overall, I did my research and found this machine is very recommend by pros and after using 4 times Im so happy with my purchase. It was kinda pricey but a few more hair cuts and it will pay itself off!

Purchased the wahl senior clipper to replace a cheap clipper I had for the last 15 years. Opted for a corded clipper and trimmer because I'm not sure how long cordless versions will last. Everything was packaged nicely and delivered quickly. The clipper was brand new and says made in the usa on the box. I have only used the items once so far but no issues. There are better clippers out there but with the discount these were by far the best deal.

Been shaving my head for many years. My last set just died after almost 10 years and so it was time for an upgrade. I got these for the reason that they are barber grade quality. I used them today, I started with the 1/16 and quickly threw that away and just use the clipper blade on the smallest setting. Cut my hair well, no snagging and just a nice clean cut. Only need to cut my hair 5 or 6 times more and the clippers will pay for themselves.

For years I trimmed my wife's long hair with scissors. A few years ago, a medical issue required her to shave her head. Months later, when her hair got a little longer, she decided that she preferred the feel of short hair and asked me to try a shorter cut. I did my best with the scissors but she always wanted the back and sides shorter. After extensive research, I purchased a corded 5 Star Senior clipper and couldn't be happier. I gave a my wife a respectable clipper cut on the first try and now she's hooked. I expect to be using these clippers for a very long time.
This is the third Wahl trimmer that I have purchased. I have been using Wahl Trimmers for cutting my hair for around thirty years. I have thick hair with cowlicks from my scottish ancestory which is difficult to trim. I got tired of paying for bad haircuts (mostly due to cowlicks) so I have been cutting my own hair. The trimmer pays for itself after a couple of haircuts. I bought this model because it has a powerful motor in order get through my thick hair. Only thing to note is that this trimmer comes with only a few attachments. However, I have plenty of attachments from my previous Wahl trimmers that I still have and use. Great to have such a quality product still manufactured in the USA.
This clipper is a great product; I can understand why a lot of barbers use these clippers: they're light, powerful, and robust. I bought the corded wahl bc it was less inexpensive than the non-corded ones and bc I didn't want to have to deal with battery deterioration and disposal. I figure these clippers will last decades, if not a full century at least! BTW, I've got a Jackery, and I've found that I could plug the clippers to it, and the clippers run like a charm! :D
I have had a few Wahl Clippers but these are by far the nicest. They are built like a tank. The blades are very sharp and stay sharp for a long time. I do dip my blades into barbecide after I use them and feel like that keeps them a bit more clean, otherwise you have to unscrew the blades and clean them (which is ok, but a bit more effort than some other clippers out there). They do have the longest available comb that I can find #12 which I also use often for my beard. Overall, extremely strong value for the money.
I previously purchased a Wahl professional clipper during the pandemic. Sadly, it was lost during our cross-country move in August, necessitating a replacement. I discovered the replacement Wahl clipper (MC3 model) did not cut my hair close enough to the scalp, so I reached out to Customer Service, who explained the technical specs - blade, motor and cutting guide closeness - vs two more appropriate options for me (5 Star Senior and Balding Clipper). I chose the 5 Star Senior (Model 8545) and Nicole authorized a refund on the MC3. Now I get a great haircut like I used to get from my old Wahl clipper, and looking sharp!
I bought this April 2018 today we are in November 2018 and I hadn’t problems since the day I bought them. I wanted to go return them but after using them and trying them out I wasn’t sure if I could. As a hair stylist I’m always working so I never had the chance to go return. I stayed with them but the problem with them is that they losen up after each hair cut. So i constantly have to be tightening the lever where the blade is. So now I keep a screwdriver at my station every day. They also become super duper loud when they losen up. I do not recommend these clippers. It is a waist of money. Now I’m having to spend money again on new clippers since I’m tired of dealing with these wahl senior clippers.
These are the Titans of Barbering. All other clippers all measured against these clippers.. These should hold down a permanent spot on any barber's station. Cuts through bulk, fades with ease and feels excellent in hand. Being that they are cordless, you have less of a task adjusting the cord out of your way while cuting. The only con for the cordless Seniors is that the runtime, against other newer cordless clippers, falls a bit short, but If you grab the Tomb 45 Eco battery and swap out the factory battery you will get a significant amount more of runtime out of them. This is one of those "Can't go wrong" situations when trying to choose should i or should I not. You can agree with me later.
